*Apply if you are qualified
*Be on time for the interview
*Be professional (ask sensible questions)
note: if you intend to work outside freelancer or Odesk.

Ask yourself
When/How are you going to get paid? (per week, semi-monthly, fixed project, per lead, per project, etc.)
if per hour ( set your rate 2.22 for average starter )
for project ( set your rate and your deadline )

How many hours
What are the timezones
When are you going to get paid
Any information's about the job
Point of contact

*manage your invoice receipt ( to be sent to the client )
- this may not be applicable to some clients since they have their softwares (time table and etc.)
*MS office, Open office - whatever depending on your nature of work.
*take advantage of Skype's unli world subscription for free - using skype you can call landlines and mobile phones from different countries all over the world

Some clients -requires the applicants to have their own way to call the leads. ( I know its crazy but if you don't like it nor do I, skip it )

Here's my take in bidding lower ( in which a lot of us thinks its a good way to win projects or clients - THINK AGAIN ).
A good and professional client prefers quality work and if they want that quality in which you humbly think you have. Then flaunt it don't underestimate it.
You might want to ask yourself
Would you like to work 12 hours with ex. $1.2 or work 6 hours with ex. $5 ? You know the difference - time, energy and money.

@Ming1211 : I have not encountered about seminar and stuff but sayun raman sya sud-lan you need to be a risk-taker and be flexible enough kay every client is different. However, one thing is for sure deliver quality work and it will lead to more work, more pay.

as to your question, sayun ra virtual assistant mura ra ne online secretary. basta maau lang ko mo research sa internet, etc... but others would require nga dapat na-a kay customer service skills kay mura man ka secretary ane you have to answer phonecalls and graveyard shift ne sya.

as for me: naswerte-an ko kay ako ra buot2x ako time to work, not pressured at all and hopefully will become a manager or partner sako boss in the next few months.
