@asean: gikan pud ko stocks bro. nindot ra na if naa bull run and you know the drill when it comes to stock picking. average movement sa stocks is roughly 2-5% daily sa blues, and some basura can move 50% in a day. if you are well connected, you can gain almost 200% in just a day. i opted for forex kasi 2-way market cya. i trade only 6 major pairs, but sometimes trade only 1 pair in a month, that would be eurusd, second would be usdjpy. sa futures, im exclusive with ES contracts only. yes, 3k is achievable if you exposed more capital sa market. but local stocks don't have the risk reward ratio im looking for, and the liquidity does not meet my criteria, and the platform for me is outdated compared to international markets. the neat thing about forex is the leverage, if you know how to utilize that, and pair it with money management skill, you'll have minimum drawdown.

opinion ra nako na bro kasi full time trader ako.

How old are you? And how much is your savings na?

for me, dili important and age and how much your savings is. most important thing is knowing what to do with the situation. there is no real measure of success since dili man ta tanan same. i may see P30,000 as a disappointing amount on a bank account, while others may see that as an achievement.

it's all a matter of choice. some people will choose to work for a small income and be with family than work somewhere else and be away from them. no matter what choice you make, ask yourself if what your doing now will be enough for you to sustain a stable life in the future for you and your family. if you are doubtful of your answer, then do what you must do, except rob a bank or something, to make sure that such situation gets to be a reality in the future.

if nakatan-aw mo ug movie na "In Time" starring justin timberlake, maka-realize mu na short ra jud ang life. every second counts. so if naa mo pending plan, do whatever it takes para maka-start na ang inyong plan. a delay can cost you your future.

If you don't mind. May i ask kung connected ka to any forex broker/company? I'm hoping that you are not selling anything in this thread..

Good for you nga naa kay connections sa gawas na maka open nimu ug legit forex account. Not all Filipinos naay connections na kasaligan.. As a small time stock investor like me. para nako mas safe kung ang broker is local lang, kay makakita mi sa ilang office like BPI trade and Metrosec at least kung naa mi complaints adto dayun mi.

Of course, nindot jud kung bullish ang market. Same as forex, naay times na gaining ka, naa times na losing. (take advantage sa bullish market karun sa pinas)

In stocks, you can start investing for 5K. in forex, can you start with 5K pesos? or 1K dollars (40K+ pesos)?

Does you forex broker offers FREE seminars/training for beginners? Stocks brokers like COL and Metrosec provides free seminars.

Naa bay legit forex broker here sa pinas? Sa stocks we have BPI trades of BPI and Metrosec of Metrobank..

You don't need to have connections para maka gain sa stocks. Tanan kaila sa Jollibee, kung ning palit ka ug stocks sa jollibee 2 years ago at P55, gain naka run ug more than 100%.. lipay nako ana..

You loss money in stocks if you sell your stocks at losing price or ma bankrupt ang company. So do you think 20 years from now ma bankrupt ang Jollibee?? kung muubos ang price sa Jollibee, tawag nako ana "buy low" kay eventually mu saka ra na siya.. once imung ibaligya at lossing price.. dinha naka pildi..

Naay mga scam run sa forex.. though naay legit.. pero sa stocks, do you think scam ang BPI trade/COL/metrosec?

Investing in stocks or local companies maka tabang man sad sa economy sa pinas..

Investing in Forex para nako is good, but ingat lang sa mga scammers.. You can invest in forex or stocks, ang important kitang mga pinoy mu asenso, ug mu asenso sad ang atong pinalangyang pilipinas.

    I'm in my thirties.
After four companies, blew up my savings
because I've been indulging too much and
enjoying life maybe because my family is
always there to back me up financially.

This year has been a wake-up call for me, though.
I quit my job and got all my financial "gains" from
my tenure and put everything in my "single" fund.
I made it an off-limits-account so I won't be tempted
    LOLS

I did that because I realized too late that I haven't been
thinking of my future for years now and my family won't
be there for me all the time and help me in time of crisis
so I stashed what's left so I can get by for the rainy days.

Right now, I'm out of job and totally clueless what I will do.
My COH is almost running out weeeeee...
So bahala na si Iron Man nako hehehe

@asean: redundant na masyado if i'll answer that. as i posted, gikan ko sa stocks. and i use fmsbc as my broker. tanan nga point nimo, naa na ko idea ana.

about forex capital, yes you can start with $100 or P5k. pero useless to discuss that if you don't have an idea about margin and leverage.

back read lang, i mentioned na rin na im not affiliated with anyone, or selling anything.

im speaking as a full time trader. iba point mo kasi you have steady stream of income. you won't relate to my post why i would choose forex kasi you can just wait for your salary to come if ipit ka sa stocks.

im a bit confused. earlier you were posting as if wala ka alam sa forex and futures, but now your some sort of a hedge fund manager? anu naman company yan if you don't mind me asking? and what's your credentials to handle managed futures? did you pass series 7, 63, and 66 exams? for the company, means that your trading client's money. what's your qualification? if you don't mid me asking? but first, anung company yan and who is the fund manager?

i'm not some kid who grew up in some block. year 2000 pa lang nasa international finance business na ako. lahat ng nag-try magtayo ng black market companies sa cebu, legit or not, either kilala ko or naging boss ko. so please, tell me what company are you saying na your trading futures with? what futures contract naman? is it based in cebu? who regulates it? and who gave you the license to trade?
