Goodness gracious what's up with english anyways, kay di ka pinoy, nahan man kaayo ka moinenglis? Ako gimingaw kog binisaya buot ka? Sulti lang palaparo ka kay mouli ko. LoL. Pastilan aning mga pinoy uy, nahan kaayo mag inenglis pakamatyan, kitang naa diri, perting mabinisaya. *scratches head*

And my my what's it to you with my posting style anyways? Don't mock me oh no, you don't wanna do that. Who said I don't read history, paita? I We're all closed-minded about this topic didn't you realize that? Nothing will ever transpire from arguing with you nor me to you.

And lest I say don't mock the Holy Spirit.

Constructive argument? My goodness. *slaps r/brey with a large trout* Faith and constructive argument? You're the one who's blinded dong not me. You can't grasp every single thing I say here. You can't see the difference between just mere reading than experiencing the Spirit. I read and yet my experience always hold truth than your history. Mao na wala nimo sabti mao ako gibinisaya. La man ka ka experience sa Holy Spirit so... just shut up. Ako ka experience ko sa Holy Spirit, kamao pa gyud ko mobasa, so who's saying what here? You can debate all you want but at least when you debate you have good knowledge not just of your own argument but of the other too. If you don't know what the Spirit means I suggest you entitle yourself to your own not-beliefs and don't regard as as stupid coz we're not.

You must be a loser in real life coz most atheists I know if not crazy, they're too broke they can't feed themselves.

    Umm... no need to triple-post.

Now we all need to calm down. Respect everyone's opinion. I'd like to think of this thread as a discussion of opinions where everyone gets a chance to put something on the table, everyone listens and maybe some might ask a few questions--- but when it comes to the point where personal opinion is being stressed, respect it. Tolerance is always good. It's how people survive by not getting sick of each other.

Otherwise, we'll just end up with another silly flame war.

okies. binisaya, way blime. cge. storyai lagi ko sa imong experience sa holy spirit. curious kaau ko. hehehe. unsa man gyud na. gi kuhit ka niya or gi pa lipay ka? unsa mana intawn?

i have good knowledge of the christian religion. i do. trust me on that. but merely saying that faith and holy spirit here and there constitutes to your part of the discussion is pointless. you gotta have something more than that to contribute to the argument.

If you don't know what the Spirit means I suggest you entitle yourself to your own not-beliefs and don't regard as as stupid coz we're not
maybe i know about the spirit, maybe i dont. but i dont regard believers as stupid. i'd like to see you and FK quote it. you always go this direction because its easier than to give a straight answer to my questions. thats how it always is since ive been arguing religion here in istorya and i dont see it changing soon. almost all the people i know are believers, i dont go out of my way to consider them stupid. thats a waste of time IMO.

You must be a loser in real life coz most atheists I know if not crazy, they're too broke they can't feed themselves.
oooohhh, name-calling. nice generalization on atheists! and ur a mod btw, so... chill! HAHAHAHA.
almost all the people i argue about religion in these forums call me names. and they're all christians. so... you do the math. no wonder many people consider christians elitists. not all though... just to be safe. heeheh.

I find it interesting that most Christians think that an atheist is someone who doesn't believe in Christ. I've been getting that dumb-Christian vibe many times in this thread as well as the dumb-Atheist vibe. Those two don't mix well.

... this thread has been done before ... in istorya and everywhere else. This topic has become so cliche (is that the right word?).

vern, ive been in threads like these for too long, and its the same everytime. i ask the right questions and i get the wrong answers. after that they talk about miracles and holy spirits and unicorns in the forests and the loch ness and.... oh sorry...

and then, the name calling starts and thats when i get tired. so i cuddle in bed and contemplate of the uselessness of it all.

and once again, i'd like to stress this out for all of you... an ANTI-CHRIST and an ATHEIST is NOT THE SAME. the anti-christ hates christ to the bone so making the anti-christ believe that christ exist. the atheist is someone who doesnt believe a christ or god exists.

as for me, im agnostic in a sense. i dont really think anyone can prove if a god exists or doesnt exist. so all this debating and arguing is just a way for me to go on with my boring life... especially now in the summer.

curious. i got this from a friend somewhere.
What I want to know is the degree of culpability Judas, and Pontius Pilate, for that matter, had for putting Jesus to death. It could be said that Pilate was fighting for his political life; hence, to avert a rebellion against Rome, which would spell disaster for him, he had to give in to the Jews' demand. Yet, this explanation is quite extrinsic to the whole mystery of salvation.

If it had been pre-ordained that Jesus would suffer and die to open the gates of heaven to men of goodwill, then Judas and Pilate were merely pawns used to achieve the goal of the Father. They, therefore, do not have Jesus' blood on their hands, as this event was necessary anyway. But if men have free will, and let us grant that they do, then what could have happened if the two did not do what they did? What if Judas didn't betray Jesus, and what if Pilate freed Jesus? Would the plan of redemption be fulfilled? If Jesus did not die on the cross, what could He have done to save mankind? And if He did have other ways of saving mankind, then His death on the cross would have been frivolous. Was it just for effect? Is God so impotent as to need a way to save man?

Now, in postulating a universal Oedipus complex as the origin of all our neuroses, Freud inadvertently developed a straightforward rationale for understanding the wish-fulfilling origin of rejecting God. After all, the Oedipus complex is unconscious, it is established in childhood and, above all, its dominant motive is hatred of the father and the desire for him not to exist, especially as represented by the desire to overthrow or kill the father. Freud regularly described God as a psychological equivalent to the father, and so a natural expression of Oedipal motivation would be powerful, unconscious desires for the nonexistence of God. Therefore, in the Freudian framework, atheism is an illusion caused by the Oedipal desire to kill the father and replace him with oneself. To act as if God does not exist is an obvious, not so subtle disguise for a wish to kill Him, much the same way as in a dream, the image of a parent going away or disappearing can represent such a wish: "God is dead" is simply an undisguised Oedipal wish-fulfillment.

OT: Oedipus complexes apply only to males, what about female atheists?. that is indeed if your "atheists" view God as Father... and what do u call earth destroyers? having "electra complexes" because they want to destroy their "mother"?

this is way out of topic.
