Breastfeed or bottle feed, which is which for babies?

From the time I got pregnant I told myself that I will breastfeed my baby jud pero nang muabot na ang time nga naa na ako baby dili diay lalim.. hehehe depende mana sa milk production sa mother.. like me dili man kaayo daghan ako milk thats why nag mix ako, breastfeed ang formula... But if you think that you can produce a lot of milk then of course it is more advised na breastmilk jud imo ihatag sa imo baby.

the BESTfed babies are the BREASTfed babies.... and that is because human breastmilk is the best milk for humans...

if you are a mom...maninguha jud dapat ka nga maka-give ka ug breastmilk sa imo kid. IT IS NOT REALLY FUN ALL THE TIME.... at times it is ok and you enjoy the bonding... but at times you are just too tired... but try gihapon.

Unfortunately, I breastfed my son for only 3 weeks kay I had to undergo an operation. But at least he got the first milk... the vital antibodies...

"breastmilk is best for babies up to 2 years of age" isn't just an advertising caption requirement. it's a fact. daghan kaayong reasons. i give a whole hour or 2 nga lecture on this. some benefits for kids -- stronger immune system, at least 5% more intelligent than formula fed kids, will not get obese later in life, will develop better visual acuity, will lessen risk of diabetes and other cancers.

for moms -- every year you breastfeed you lessen your risk of acquiring breast cancer by 25-33%, your tummy goes back to its pre-pregnancy size faster since breastfeeding contracts your uterus, you lessen your risk of acquiring ovarian cancer, you get less stress since breastfeeding releases hormone called oxytocin that calms you.

if working full time, you can still breastfeed. pump lang at work every 3 hours. you can store the bottles in a coleman filled with ice. 2 international flight attendants from cathay pacific in year 2000 were featured in PDI for breastfeeding even at work -- they would pump while on air and their husbands would get the bottles from them when they'd land in manila. if they could do it, most women can.

formula bottle feeding is NOT easier. you have to mix, you have to make sure sterilized ang bottles, you have to make sure you use purified water. you or your husband will have to get up in the middle of the night pa to do this. if you premix and store in the ref, you'll have to warm the bottle pa rin. you lose more sleep.

with breastfeeding, you just get your baby and nurse him/her. hubby never needs to wake up. most breastfeeding moms prefer to co-sleep with the baby. you can sleep even while nursing. :mrgreen:

i breastfed my 2 kids exclusively (meaning no water, no vitamins, no solids) for their first 6 months of life and continued breastfeeding them till a little past 2 years of age.

if given the chance ka to breastfeed, then that's the best way you should give milk to your baby. pero, for me, it's also important for the baby to drink formula milk, kay kung magsakit ka, u won't have the choice but patakdan imong baby sa imong sakit.....naay ubang babies, wala jud gipa try ug drink formula milk, dats y kung hilantan ang mama, hilantan pud ang baby....

breastfeeding is good for at least birth to six months or a little bit longer. It's good for babies immune system and most of all, new mom doesn't have to get up in the middle of the night to mix the formula in the bottle. It's there ready to go. This is base on my personal experience.

Breast milk gyud the longer the better. Og dili ka ganahan mo breast feed kay sakit or whatever labi na sa mga 1st timer or og dili possible tungod work pwede man nimo suction lang and ibutang nalang sa bottle for the yaya to use later.
