not ERAP at all! kadtong mga amaw nga ningpili ni ERAP pag-election maoy usa pud nga nakasugod ug pa-demise sa philippines. most of all ang mga amaw nga mga oposisyon nga gustong mopuli ug lingkod sa gahom... puro lang problema sa nasud ang giatiman.

*One more thing, Filipinos here in America are invisible minority and a lot of people will say "What is a Filipino?" Funny thing is, Filipinos were one of the first asians to step foot on American soil but it seem the Chinese, koreans, viets, thai, japanese, indians are more mainstream and well known in the US than Filipinos which is sad!

    Me: I'm Filipino

    American: What's that?!

Bro, weve been offered more than a couple of times before pa sa Puerto Rico. Our folks declined.

and we are not invisible. in San Francisco alone, we ranked third. second to the mexicans.

I mean Filipinos in general in the United States, not just San Francisco, daily city(?) or California in general where a lot Filipinos reside.

Well for the United States offering the Philippines muiltple times for statehood is totally Bogus!! You and I know the Philippines was just nothing more than a GIANT MILITARY installation in the pacific and regarded the country highly during those times but ended up being the ULTIMATE FAILURE.
    1. Not enough gringos in the country

Although it is much easier to blame it on the leader, but they shouldn't be to give total blame.

The Philippines was once one of the greatest country in Asia. Although it is notable that Filipinos are more fond of having fun than working, but people in power made it easier for the Philippines to slide from "one of the greatest country in Asia" to "one of the poorest". I am not much of a historian if this country is concerned but I think the Philippines demise started out in Ferdinand Marcos' regime. There was one or two good presidents who tried to bring it back to its feet but I think their effort is not strong enough to make great changes and the people are still too lazy (and ignorant) to make that great change a possibility.

a big NO. although a president is part of the demise but its generally us ignorant filipino people. even if we put the smartest person in the world as our president we will still remain unproductive UNLESS we will cooperate and be disciplined enough to follow our laws. its our attitude that matters most if we want our beloved country to be as progressive as our other asian counterparts.

Demise? The Philippines is still a young country, a young democracy. The great democracies of the world all underwent much more turbulent times and blatant corruption before they evolved into what they are today.

The Philippines is not even in demise, but on the contrary is just starting out. Instead of whining, we should take its problems as a challenge and gear our efforts in promoting unity rather than divisiveness.

Touche! and I guess we can start by giving this ASEAN SUMMIT a chance.
Whether we like it or not, this is the only country we got. so wala ta choice but to cooperate. hehehe.
