    Default Corruption: A Filipino Culture

I overheard a Pulmo Specialist said: "Corruption is in our culture, mao jud ni ang pinoy"

What can you say about this statement? Do you agree with what he said? As a Filipino, how can we get rid of this system of corruption?

P.s. Focus lng ta sa Filipino... daghan pud ni sa uban nasod but focus lng sa ta sa atoa.. for discussion purposes lng!

It's a malady of those who are in power,
not actually a way of living amongst the Filipino People,

we cant get it out of us and we cant get out of it.

Daghan nato dili man motoo ug Ginoo or someone powerful nga willing mo punish nato if we do wrong.
Mao bisan ang atong mga igsoon nga mga relihiyoso kuno, corrupt gyud na gihapon..samut na ang dili motoo ug Ginoo.

    Example:
Mangurakot ko ug 500Million pesos....ang 20Million pesos akong i-donate sa simbahan, 50Million sa various charities, 30Million para media mileage sa mga "good things" nga akong nabuhat kuno....hahaha sa mata sa kinabag-an maayong tawo na ko di ba? daghan na dayun ko mga loyal followers. mag reserve ko ug 50Million para sa akong mga followers...now, naa pa koy 350Million all for myself.
What if naa koy 1Billion pesos nga nakurakot?

If anyone of us has the chance or opportunity to gain very big out of kurakot...balibaran ba nato?
    Frankly, dili nako balibaran.

Maghinulsol ug mangayo lang ko ug pasaylo dayun....pero secure usa nako akong pamilya. lol

I don't think it is corruption that is innate in filipinos, but apathy and submissiveness. For corruption to thrive, a society has to have a population that have these two features.

I think the reason corruption is lesser in other countries is because their people fight back and demand for their most basic of rights. Unfortunately, most Filipinos do nothing even if they're blatantly being plundered by their government in broad daylight.

We are plundered by our government which is plundered by us.
Corruption is so widespread that it is also in private firms that includes our basic unit...our family.
To break the cycle, we must kill ourselves, 5yr old and above, maybe in their young minds they will not learn how corruption is carried out.

Sige ta ug panaway sa corruption and yet when we are in the position...we are swallowed by corruption.
Walay makabalibad ilabi na ug milyones ang gi istoryahan.
