weddings : depends what time the wedding is .. if its during the day, something breezy, not too formal, just casual, light colors .. at night time, dark colors, a lil formal - maybe a dress with a shawl.

conferences/ business meetings: something smart and businesslike but chic.

    I usually wear:

    - Black slacks.
-A plain black shirt. Yes, a plain black T-shirt...
-...but I wear a dark gray or black overcoat (or men's blazer) over the shirt.
    - a simple gold or silver necklace

This attire is modern and more versatile than the traditional coat and tie.

    balls:

    kinda purple sorbet long sleeves
    blk suit and pants
    leather "squary toe" shoes
2 unbuttoned top buttons (sounds weird)

in any occasion never wear formal clothes or accessorize like a D.I. or a gigolo, a big NO-NO in the elite crowd! It's simply a tragic murder.

always wear shoes with laces, mocs & loafers are casual shoes. wear formal shoes with stockings, not sports socks. a very common mistake among us Filipinos.

length of pants should only be 1 inch above the floor already with your shoes on. baha² gamay, is appropriate. having overlengthed pants will stalk you & it may look like it was borrowed or you were anticipating that you might outgrow it.

length of tie should only be a little above the belt buckle.

jacket or blazer sleeves should be about .75-1 inch shorter than you primary clothes (long sleeves).

BOTTOMLINE: In formal dressing, one should wear clothes exactly for your size & wear them properly. preppy not lousy. Even if the clothes are borrowed, don't make do because you are going to a ball not a mardi gras. Good Luck.

I have a pimp suit... Metallic Green suit .. and I wear a SILVER shirt (long sleeve undershirt) under that....

I also like wearing barong if the weather permits...
Pero most of the time.. I wear a black long sleeved sweater and dress pants.. black shoes.. and any jacket I can find (leather, trench, sports coat, etc...)

Why pamper life's complexities when the leather runs smooth on the passenger seat?
