what FREEWARE .wav to .midi converter can you recommend? thanks!
thats not really possible, if naa may converter ana layo ra kaayo sa tanan ang sound..
lol. wav is an audio file, while ang midi is a set of commands that tells your soundcard what to do. so it's impossible to convert a wav to midi. you can make a midi using some synth tool.
I've seen one, but it's not really free (shareware, trial-period), not very user-friendly (requires knowledge of musical notation, I think?), and quite difficult to find even in Google. I kind of forgot the name though (deleted/uninstalled it after I tried to work with it); try searching again in google for WAV to MIDI converter, MP3 to MIDI converter, etc.
Guys it's possible, though quite difficult to do.

it's not simpossible, i have seen software that isolates midi then ultimately converts it flawlessly. there is one problem though, it is not freeware.Originally Posted by vemp

pwede gyod ni oi. naa man ko midi to wav. kung nahimo ni sa programmer then pwede gyod niya i-reverse.
midi to wave is just playing it in midi and recording it to wave.. basically just pure recording.. anyway goodluck in hunting for the elusive software.Originally Posted by abloyboat
testinge kuno sound forge bro. di ko sure of og naa ba features wav to midi.
OT: if ma convert na from wav to midi ot vice versa, when you drop it in SoundForge mausab na ang quality and sometimes dili madawat ang file bisan i-resample pa nato.meaning gibberish ang output either chipmunk or frankenstein ang quality.
SoundForge has no midi to wav conversion nga plugin but you can directly drop a wav file then save it as an mp3 file.
