are you equipped with ciss? if yes, most probably, a waste ink pad limit is reached.

you need to replace the waste ink pad before resetting the waste ink pad counter(that is if youre not configuring the printer to let its waste ink go outside).

you need a software to reset the waste ink pad counter limit. use google.com to search for it.


how old is your printer? and how many prints did it produced already?

since replacing the waste ink pad is quite pricey due to you need to bring the printer to the authorized service center, plus you need to buy a new waste ink pad, you could do a DIY cleaning of your waste ink pad by letting it run by clean water until it shows whiter, but the problem is you need to get out the waste pad underneath inside the printer's chassis which is difficult if you don't have the experience and service manual.

resetting the waste ink pad limit is done in software.

if you are not that techie enough to do it and dont have the equipments, then i would advice you to bring your printer to the authorized service center. anyway, such waste ink pad limit is only reached from tremendous print job cycles which is more timely than occasional unless you are using the printer for excessive printing business scenario.

just remember, resetting waste ink pad limit w/o replacing or cleaning the waste pad is dangerous since underneath the printer's internal part of the chassis might be flooded already with ink that might overflow or spill unto the circuitry of the printer.
