not the PSP 3000 at the moment if ur planning to "unlock" it.. they are still working on how to unlock it.. the PSP - God of War, i'll go with that if ur a big fan of GoW, its a regular PSP slim with a GoW theme..

if your planning on using homebrew then choose psp2000 ... but if your planning to play games using UMD then buy the psp3000

ang psp-3000 d pana ma unlock. ang psp-2000 ma unlock but beware sa ta-88v3 na board kay d pud na ma unlock. ang ilhanan kay basta ang official firmware daw kay 4.01 ig check nimo ta-88 nana, other means kay ang box naa na ibutang dadto PSP-3000 or PSP-2000 and naa sab sticker sa bottom right sa psp saying PSP-2000.

para xur jud ka na convertible panang PSP na paliton nimo, dri nalang sa cebu palit, it may cost higher, than abroad but heck, assured ka na convertible ni sila nya converted na pajud daan. kaysa makapalit kay $169.99 na unit but useless japon unless if you are rich nya palit ka UMD.

Be Careful in buying a PSP!

There are three generations of the PSP:

PSP 1000 Series
PSP 2000 Series
PSP 3000 Series

PSP 1000 - this is too old. Never buy this. Hackable.

PSP 2000 - Better and faster. Slimmer and lighter than the original one. Hackable.

PSP 3000 - Latest Release. Unhackable.

PSP 2000 versus 3000:

PSP 2000 is hackable. It has many great features compared to the first psp. PSP 3000 has even better and more features than PSP 2000. But since the Sony Corporation knew that PSP is hackable, this time, the latest release of the psp is made sure that it cannot be hacked anymore unlike the PSP 2000. In the 2000 series, you can just hack your own PSP. In the 3000 series, it cannot be hacked. Therefore, you need UMD's to watch movies or play games. In the latest release. One game at a time. In the 2000 series, if you have that great space on a memory stick, then you can have as much games as you want and play games without opening the UMD drive. For me, this is really better.

Also, some buyers of the latest release complained that the IMPROVED LCD screen is not improved but WORSEN!

Trust me, search for google but the disadvantages of the PSP 3000. Many has commented that while you play, there will be lines and lines, awful lines. Also, Dark_Alex has not figured out yet how to enable ISO's in PSP 3000.

So if I were you, get the PSP 2000 just like me! I'm really happy with it!

CAUTION!!!

Be careful to let your dad or mom or whoever abroad to choose the right PSP 2000! As some PSP 2000 comes with the motherboard of this version TA-v088v3. This PSP's that come with this motherboard is just like PSP 3000! They are not unhackable.

Hint: This PSP 2000 that come with this version of motherboard is shipped with firmwares 4.01 and above~

So be sure to buy PSP 2000 that is shipped with firmware version 3.90!!! or maybe below!
