asrock dual sata2 oc'ng problem

guys, tabang be. mao ni specs:

amd64 3000+ venice
asrock dual sata 2 (now on ocwbeta2 bios)
geforce 6600 256mb pcie
geil 2x512mb pc400
maxtor 80gb sata

the prob is, i just cant seem to overclock, bisan fsb ra. kay sa bios, inig-press sa enter to modify kadtong cpu host frequency, way dropdown na mugawas. at 200mhz lang cya pirmi. then, nakasuwat sa right side na 140-300 tong pwede i-set. then,m akong i-set sa manual tong cpu multi, then set cya to 10x200mhz, para makakuha ko 2ghz, wa gihapon, mubalik pirmi.

i tried all of this with 3 different bios. now, m using ocwbeta2 bios form ocworkbench.com, then, previously, v1.2 at 1.6 na bios, wa gihapon.

naa kahay jumper ni para ma-set tong fsb to any value other than 200? what's keeping me from overclocking kaha?

Meybe theres a setting there in your bios where you have adjust the type of setting to your FSB to expert mode.
Seems like your FSB isn't customizable and seemed to adjust only to predefined speeds. like 133, 166 and 200. And won't pass beyond 200.

Like my mobo EPOx in its BIOS it has expert mode and normal mode. Normal mode you can only adjust to 133, 166 and 200. while in expert mode you can adjust at any type of speed with minimum of 133. and can go beyond 200. and also the memory timings is unlocked.

That's why I don't buy Asrock MOBOS. heheh.
That's the difference between Good OC motherboards and bad OC motherboards.
Asrock is known to be stable and reliable but not good for OCing, based on your experience.

That's why before buying a MOBO you should know whether you OC your MOBO or not. For better OC get Epox, MSI, or DFI. Feature Multi frequency mobos, and high voltage range mobos and high stability(Means the MOBO can handle high Overclocks for memories).

people there have good oc with this board. anyways, ive tried everything that was meant to be tried. there is no expert mode in this mobo. it just a simple drop down list of fsb options that seems to be missing. based on my experienced with computers and cpu, only the cpu multi is locked in some cases, while the fsb is not, in most cases, and typically, its easy to set the fsb on the fly, expert mode or not. just wondering whats wrong with this board. if these people have done it, using those bios, why cant i? maybe theres something wrong...

so, there may be a jumper thats stopping the fsb to be changed from it default? ok, ill look that up tomorrow, all jumpers, one by one.

i think there's something wrong with its hybrid booster. check na nako tong jumpers, wa man didto, para sounds at device wake up man tingale to.

about bios, v1.2 ni, original. then gi-flash na nako sa ocwbeta2 bios from ocworkbench, wa gihapon. then suway ko sa latest v1.6 official, wa sab. try nako ning 1.3, basin mu-work.

basta dili ka kahilabot sa multiplier anah!ako stock cooler ra nya full load kay 42c,idle 35c ,cge ayu ayu flash imoboard nga dili ka ma brownoutan,herhehehehehe

hay, stupido ra kaau ko. wa diay drop down list, like sa akong asus board, enter ra diay, then type diretso tong number sa cpu host frequency. kun dili pa nako napindot tong key #8 sa akong keyboard, dili pa nako malaman. hay.... boanga gyud....

ok na ni, 250x9 ra ang akong gi-set. cpu,pci async. locked tong pci sa 100mhz, then mem timing is at 2.0-3-3-6 or 333mhz sa akong gigamit na geil dual 512mb.

OT: maunsa diay if inig-flash, ma-brown out?
