Yes there is no problem there with DX9.

Actually tested the game in DX10 mode. No patch and no errors.
Using HD3870. Windows vista SP1 (DX10.1)

Just getting started to play Gears of War for crossfire testing purposes.

The Bug only affects NVidia cards.

The Nvidia 8800 series cards does not support DX10.1. So the patch effectively disables DX10.1 and convert it back to already buggy DX10.

Based on the Intel side 8x/8x is not officially supported by a chipset only 16x/4x is officially supported by the P35 and P965.

8x/8x is only available in very highend P35, P965 or P975 boards....

Just got an fn92 and a couple of fn91 fans. The fn92 has great silver fan controler. Even at lowest RPM this fan really has great blowing power.

My two Zalman GV1000 VGA cooler fans are even...

a P35 chipset will be able to handle x3210. higher chipsets should be able to handle it as well.
