bohol is truly a nice place to relax in with accomodations for every budget in panglao island... from a reasonable P1k per night to world class resorts such as amorita and eskaya
went to Bhol (again!) 2 weeks ago and we stayed in Panglao... great time!
miss the snorkeling in Balicasag!
I would suggest you go for a van... much more comfortable and you can get some vans for as cheap as 2500-2800. The drivers of these vans are knowledgable about the tourist spots you need to visit...

@ pitbull: the beaches in panglao are nice... I think you should have gone to Alona Beach instead of Dumaluan beach... so that you get to appreciate the white sand, as well as the nightlife too......
been to Bohol a lot of times and I would say that the beaches and smorkeling/diving experience are really good! try to go to anda beach if you have time... clear waters and virgin powdery white sand,...
Personally, I like Alona beach since daghan kalingawan didto unya mora siya ug mini Boracay with all the resorts closr together... however if you want a certain sense of exclusivity and quiet, go to...

botyok, am planning to birng some visitors to for an overnight stay at Panglao... last that I've been to Bohol was last year... can you recommend a nice and yet affordable resort? would appreciate...

it's still in Panglao island... the atmosphere is very relaxing and you get to eat a lot of fresh, organic stuff that they grow...
try Bohol bee farm if you want something that is rustic and yet beautiful to look at...
yup, definitely! have been there lots of times and i like the place... very relaxing... and there are lots of historical places to go to (if you're a first time visitor...)
actually, no... kung pila man gani ang rent nimo sa van... inclusive of tour guide/ driver and gasoline naman (in our experience... )
pinakasulit gihapon ang van even if 2 ra mo kay ang driver knowledgeable tourist guide naman sab so masulit gyud ninyo ug tour ang mga sites...
off peak season man karon so mas barato ang rates......

i agree with velvett (wa sab ko comission) but going to bohol bee farm really relaxes you, the food is great, there are hammocks to plop yourself in and just enjoy nature...
naa ni siya sa panglao...
