Naa didto member ni ingon nga naa sila solar power sa balay then grid connected. Though bayaran sila sa VECO if nag hatag sila ug generation, pirte ra daw gamaya ang ebayad per kw-hr from VECO, tabla rag ge pangayo ang kuryente.

Maka save ta ug kuryente, pero we will not earn that much if kita ang mag supply sa VECO.
may ibalgya sa silingan sir hehe

Kinsa nag DIY diri? My initial research kay maka ROI man in 2-3 years if grid-tied but consuming all solar production (not selling to veco). Catch lang is dapat ma consume nimo tanan na produce, otherwise, it goes to waste na.

Sample, 1000w panel at 80% x 80% efficiency is 640w per hour production with sunlight. (Need pa to check pila akong daytime consumption) Thats around P2,000 per month savings. Mu cost cya ug more or less 50k pero lazada prices ra ni and untested pa. hehehehe.

50k nana boss? tanan tanan? murag dili man guro boss kay daghan pana bayaran like ang installation, nya battery pa ug uban-uban. sa ako estimate mukabat guro 100k gasto para maka sustain tibuok balay imo setup. which is in my opinion dili siya sustainable ug dili praktikal. mas nakahukom ko mas praktikal if palit ka anang honda nga generator naa man kanang mga tag 50k nga hilom ra.magamit pa siya labi na summer ug kanang mga peak period gani.magamit pa nimo ang generator ug mag blackout inig bagyo2x. ang solar panel di pwede ipagawas ug bagyo boss kay buak nya.hehe.

@koykoy kung Grid tie set up ka, just buy the Sun G Masspower 1.5kw GTI with limiter, on time.... mga 15k mn cguro.. then paresan nimo ug 1kw+ panels makaproduce mn gyapon mga 1kw when the u sun is directly hitting the panels.. then gasto pud for wires, railings, and safety switches..
but tell me first your daytime consumption para ma calcu nato..

Hi bro. Good point. Actually, nakapalit ko ug Senci na inverter genset sa belmont, more or less 40K to mga 2 years ago. Pwerte ra niya ga-ana like mabalhin2x ra nako and 2000w ang capacity. Nasuwayan na nako 1.5hp inverter + lights + ref, ok ra. Ni trip lang cya one time nag gamit ko ug microwave. lol. Pero ok ra cya sa espresso machine etc.

Anyway, since my last research, mao ni ako na found out:
    1. Sa akong on-grid plan kay no need ang battery. And since DIY setup ni cya, no need to pay for installation. Im not a licensed kurentitian pero familiar man ko sa electricity so nangurso ra kog wiring sa whole house so medyo dako2x na save. Medyo OC pud ko so dako2x gyud ko salig sa akong electrical wiring like all 12ga THN wires gyud, 24 panel breaker (nag yawyaw akong papa ani tungod sa kadaghan) and daghan jud kog outlets. So since DIY man ni, medyo ma lessen jud ang bayad.

    2. You are right sa 50k ne medyo apiki. Kaya cya sa chinese inverters like growatt or zeversolar pero apiki cya if european brands like fronius or zma. Naa tanan prices diri sa optimusenergyph.com which is ako nya bisitahon basin maka hatag cla ug wholesale price nato. Naa pud clay solar panels na "tier 1" brand: seraphimusa. Ang inverter is around 30k (zeversolar 1500w with wifi monitoring na) and around 8k sa 275w na seraphim poly panel each.

    3. Ako planned setup is simple: SOLAR PANEL (4x275w) --- BREAKER --- GRID INVERTER --- BREAKER --- OUTLET/GRID. According to this setup, maka generate ni ug 4.3kwh per day. (Solar panels facing West at 15 degrees tilt, yes! detailed ni nga computation hehehe)

    4. Ang catch is 4.3kwh must be consumed during daytime. Wala ko plan ibaligya ni sa VECO and wala pud ko plan i-store. Ang kulang ani and inig nightime kay paliton gihapon from veco. Akong daily consumption average is around 16kwh per day.

    5. While wala pa nako ma kuhaan ug data, maybe 10 kwh ang nighttime and 6kwh ang daytime consumption nako. Hence, with the solar, mugawas na 1.7kwh nalang akong consumption during daytime. Kulang pakog further analysis ani like when ang peakload, etc. pero hopefully, ako peak load requirements mu coincide sa noon na full voltage pud ang panels.

    6. So to compute:
    Savings of 4.3kwh/day = (at Php12.00) = Php 51.6/day or Php 1,548/month Php 18,834/year
(Akong current bill is PHp 6,000/month average)
    Cost of inverter, panel,breakers,wires = Php 70,000
    Simple ROI = 3.7 years

wala nato gi consider ang inflation and ang possible increase sa electricity price in the coming years ha. (remember naay TRAIN hehhe)

    7. Other research nako na dapat i-share:
    - una gyud daw mu give up ang inverter so mas maau reliable ang brand. ok ra ang china IF maayo sila ug warranty and replacement policy. so LAZADA out nalang cguro. palit nlng ta sa store na klaro nga distributor.
    - ang solar panel like tier 1 is very reliable, maybe 30 years pa. expect 0.5% degradation every year lang sa capacity
    - in my case, mas ok ra ko ug dako nga panel kay init man akong roof, so more shade = cooler house = lower aircon consumption

    8. Mao ni ako giplan na inverter (mas mahal hinuon ni like 45k na) pero nice ilang website kay maka design ka sa imong plano with all the details and specific pud sa atong lugar/sun hours.
