Silly. We have been altering chickens and cattle to improve the taste of food the past thousands of years. If it's not right to produce a new organism to be a pet, why is it "right" to produce a new organism (the White Leghorn chicken you're having as Chicken Joy didn't exist three thousand years ago) just for food?
