How about in the district level,
does your candidates now looking forward towards
serving his would be constituents or leering towards
that hefty pork barrel and the power he would have later on.
Most congressmen nowadays are really questionable.

Imo, there are no real elections in this country. We have something that looks like an election but it's fake. It's like a multiple choice question where the choice is between Asshole 1, Asshole 2 and Asshole 3. We taxpayers pay billions of pesos to run this sham every 3-6 years and they've managed to brainwash us into thinking it was our choice to have bad leaders and so also our fault why our country is messed up. In the end, the oligarchs get all the rewards and none of the blame. The people get scammed into poverty and are to blame for everything, because we deserve the government we chose, or so they say. The propagandists who run our media have become so good at this game of deceit, they've managed to fool everyone, even foreigners, into believing their lie. In this way, "democracy" is a pressure valve to release pent-up anger over the way the country is run because if people believe it's their own fault the country is messed up, then they won't bother thinking about who's really responsible for our problems and the scam can continue for at least another 3-6 years.

    Exactly,
I guess we have to make some amendments
with our electoral system, the people are the ones
who choose, therefore ther are the ones who should select.
Now it's quite different, they select and force us to chose
for there is no other choice.
