Default Jun Ducat, a modern day hero?

The day-care center owner who is holding hostage 29 pupils and four teachers inside a bus in Lawton, Manila asked Filipinos to light a candle in sympathy for his fight against government corruption.

"Sa pamamagitan ng isang kandila lamang, maipakita natin ang paglaban sa talamak na nakawan sa ating bansa (By lighting a candle, we can show that we are one in fighting chronic corruption in our country)," Armando "Jun" Ducat Jr. told DZMM by telephone.

"While generations of politicians change, we continue to suffer in poverty," Ducat said. "These politicians promise education, health and housing, but unless we stop corruption ... they will just feast on the budget."

Naka pogi points hinoon si CHAVIT SINGSON. Gunit pa og granada. May gali wala nabuthan.

If the whole thing was not a big drama for Chavit and Bong, then it was a big sacrifice for Ducat for this goverment to be awaken!

there was no way a shot could be risked, not even a sniper. he was holding an unpinned granade with children as hostages, a nightmarish situation i could imagine.

Ducat took it overboard by risking the lives of innocent children. taking them as hostages and unpinning the granades. However, he did a good thing by not harming anyone as this would've been the signal for the law enforcement to take measures as the perp has become violent.

Hero of the day? My bet would be Sen. Revilla.
