To those Jesus Freaks out there! Speak out!

I know that there are a lot of people who could appreciate Christian Contemporary Music and I do believe that they got something more to say about life and music than anybody else in this world. Well this is just my opinion... but personally these bands such as Vertical Horizon, Jars of Clay, DC Talk (great band), The Insyderz, Planet Shakerz, Taitband, Toby Mac and many more could somehow change your views in life rather than dwell in the darkness or somewhere else where you can't find peace within. These are the 'against the flow' bands.

Now lemme see if I could find people in here who loves Christian Rock Music!

    A promise or a dare
I would jump if I knew you'd catch me
    Staring over the edge
I can't tell if you'll be here for me

I close my eyes and make a wish
Turn out the lights and take a breath
Pray that when the wick is burned
You would say that it's all about love

    Chorus:
You were there when I needed you
You were there when the skies broke wide, wide open
You were there when I needed you
You were there when the skies broke wide, wide open

    You were never here

    I remember you said
Love was more than your good intentions
    Empty boxes on the floor
Things I never asked you for
I pray that when the wick is burned
You would say that it's all about love

    [Chorus]

I can't see the promise of
    Excuses you fall upon
I pray to God not holding on
    To things you've left undone

    [Chorus x 2]

    You were there when I
    You were there when I
You were there when I needed you

when you here this band play! man! they're like crazy freakin heavy that u want to bash satans head!

    March by ZAO

    My strength, my strength fades
    My strength fades away
    Slowly with the setting sun
    The night brought its
    Darkness and its storms
    And the floods that came
    Reflected a dull moon
Violent winds raged beneath the stars that didn't shine
Emptied of myself I fell to the ground

    Slowly through the destruction
    Came a single quiet voice
And the breath of His words consumed
The night and brought strength I have never felt on my own
And He held me up until I could walk again
And promised to stay by my side forever

    Ember by ZAO

    My sight finally returns
Only to see my hands covered with the innocent blood
Of those I stand before as an example
And I hold this ember in my heart
It reminds me of who I once was
It's the only warmth that I know

    Ember of Your faithfulness
Ember of Your still small voice
    Ember of embracing arms
Ember of rebirth to You my King

To You my King I offer up this ember
For the wind of Your Spirit to consume
    Consumed by fire, consumed [2x]
Consumed to purge their blood from my hands

this is prolly my favorite christian hardcore band/metalcore bands: UNDEROATH and AS I LAY DYING

    The Last by UNDEROATH

These fingers so frail paint in my mind.
Scars down the back of my eyes.
Death walks with me alone, tonight.
The coldness whispers; "It's almost near"
REST, FOR SOON IT WILL BE OVER!

Years flash before me, and I understand why I'm here...
...No one will ever know, as the pictures come clear..
"Don't worry", they tell me; this feeling won't last forever!
Voices beating their drums in my heart.
The water looks so peaceful below, and the struggle lets go...
...CLIMBING OVER THE WALL OF LIFE'S EDGE
LEAVING BEHIND THE SMILES OF YESTERDAY

The light that shined has vanished to a grayscale of night.
Tears once present, now look into the dryness inside.

    Silent words enter the sky;
Screamed from this body as a reply.
And these words begin to write:
"Dear Lord, if these break the earth, and enter your courts; save me tonight"

Time is short and the hurt of death grows with every breath.
Here I am at the end,
This wall that blocked you out for so long opens wide
And I begin to burn from the inside.
    I'll never forget that night...
...The night Jesus Christ made the blackness white!

The Darkest Nights by AS I LAY DYING

For so long I have felt alone
    Content to live with unrest
    Longing faded into countless nights
    That buried my weary heart
    But You brought an end
    To this dead hour
And meaning to a calloused life
    Held in Your arms
But too far from my heart
These thoughts will carry me through
    The darkest nights
While Your eyes rest in mine
I remember the way You looked at me
And the way You drew me cose
    With one deep sigh
Scattering pieces of my restless mind
Forgetting all that we have left behind

@shoeless_rebel: nice one you got there tian. thanks for informing us with those bands. I never even thought that they existed but well anyway I never had the chance anymore to check the latest bands in the world but thanks for that man.

@damsel jeny: that's my no. 1 favorite song from Jars of Clay! I am so glad that I got the chance to watch 'em live last year!

I was really into heavy stuffs before but since listening to these songs and these bands who bring praises to each music lovers, I never had the second thoughts of going back again. Well, it all depends on us, the way we choose life and the way we choose our music and songs but I believe that there's nothing more heart warning than listening to Christian Contemporary/Alternative Bands. The Bands that I mentioned above are my personal fave!

@andoi: dude I believe that you rock! continue doing that dude! I admire you for that!

The first Christian Rock band I heard was Jars of Clay. I like "Five Candles" a lot. Then I heard and saw the vid of "Bring Me Down" by Pillar. Pillar is extremely my fave of all Christian Rock bands.

Then, I began to explore other Christian Rock bands like Chevelle, Kutless, and Seventh Day Slumber. I love em all. Most of the time I listen to these artists for their music somehow calms me when I'm angsty or angry (Dang, I need anger management these times). Sometimes it's too numbing to listen to MaRiLyN ManSoN and NiNe iNcH nAiLs that I can't feel anything anymore.

And oh, I like Switchfoot too LoL.

@oliver- five candles is for youÂ*

    @oliver
    Thanks for being my lightÂ*

I listen to hardcore stuffs. My friends won't believe I'm into those stuffs cz for them I look like anÂ* (bwahaha looks deceive a lot). I was like, "Why is it that Satan can produce good music?" But when I listen to Christian rock bands, well, it is better than I thought.
