Netwise, a Tokyo-based web design and online marketing agency, has opened a new development center in Cebu and is recruiting experienced web application developers. We are currently recruiting for the following position:

Front-end Web Developer

Summary

Work as part of an international team creating pixel perfect websites and
web applications that perform well and meet strict design requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

● Integrate front-end code with the back-end systems and CMSs
● Perform W3C validation, accessibility testing, and usability audits
● Testing and debugging of websites and web applications
● Website maintenance and support
● Setup & configuration of open-source CMSs such as Joomla, WordPress and Magento
● Occasional design work as needed (using Photoshop)

Required Skills & Experience

● Excellent HTML, XHTML, CSS programming skills
● Experience with JQuery
● Knowledge of working with JavaScript frameworks to create rich interactive content
● Excitement about emerging web technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3
● Good understanding of Web Accessibility
● Knowledge of HTML Email best practices
● Strong XHTML skills; knowledge of how to use appropriate hooks in XHTML to limit the amount of classes and ID’s required on a page
● Deep understanding of CSS inheritance and how to use it to your advantage.
● Strong working knowledge of Photoshop; able to cutup comps from the design team.
● Minimum 5 years work experience as a front-end developer
● Knowledge of international web standards and protocols
● Be fully conversant in browser compatibility issues and strategies, as well as Web maintenance processes.

Desirable Skills & Experience

● Experience with responsive web design
● Experience with multi-lingual/multi-locale website development
● Experience implementing and customizing Joomla, WordPress, or Magento
● Experience with Ajax, jQuery, Prototype, MooTools
● Knowledge of PHP, Apache, MySQL

Salary

Between Php 30,000 - Php 40,000 per month depending on experience

Working Hours

Monday through Friday, 9：00 to 18：00 (flexible)

Non-working Days

Weekends and National Holidays
