Hello again folks,

I've made a little more progress on the horns. Seems like the old Gundam sprues did the trick. I sharpened one end with a hobby knife, then smoothed it with a bit of sandpaper, cut off a bit and glued it to the neck.

Here are a few pictures with the horns on the neck:






Methinks I'm ready to prime tomorrow morning.

I went overboard and forgot to take pics of the dragon after I primed it. Here she is after a base coat of GW Chaos Black and GW Leviathan Purple Wash.





I hope you all like it. Any suggestions on the skin colors are welcome.

Hello everyone!

Here's a quick update on the dragon. Her spines and the large scales [scutes?] have been hit with a coat of GW Snakebite Leather. A bit of GW Chaos Black was mixed with the Snakebite Leather and thinned slightly so it could be painted into the deeper areas of the large scales. The body horns have been painted Chaos Black as well.





The legs aren't painted yet because I need something to hold on to while I paint her. Comments and criticisms are welcome.

Here's what I have done so far. The skin is black with splashes of Lich Purple/Leviathan purple mix and Regal Blue/Lich Purple mix. I tried some kind of blending with the membrane on the wings. My "client" isn't looking for anything GD-winning, but he likes what he's seeing so far. I'd say the dragon will be done in a few days.

great work jumps!! it really came together nicely..... wasn't quite sure what you meant with the color scheme, but seeing now, its really AWESOME!!!

BTW, I see you chose to keep the "Unicorn Horns"...... =)

Hi all, here's a small update:

Face has been cleaned up a bit but I'm not very happy with the teeth yet.






I'm thinking of painting the body spikes, talons and wing tips a mix of Dwarf Bronze and Burnished gold.

Hi everyone, she's finally done.

Here's my latest project: A space marine Thundefire cannon and techmarine by Games Workshop.

The parts have been cleaned as well as possible and I've already epoxied the main cannon. One thing I noticed that there were some big gaps in the barrel and the rear part of the cannon didn't fit too well.



A little more work needs to be done on the gaps, but at the moment, I'm waiting for the epoxy to harden. This is something that I hope will be enjoyable to paint.

Finally, an update.







The first 2 pictures show a base coat of Vallejo black on the cannon and the next 3 pictures show my initial attempt at a rust-like effect. A layer of Vallejo Gunmetal Metal, then a wash of Games Workshop Ogryn Flesh, and a light drybrush of Mythril Silver.






The last 4 pictures show what I have done but the mini is still far from done. Any C&C is appreciated.
