3.0 will change everything, which is a good thing for every eligible phone. but i don't think third party manufacturers (HTC Samsung, Moto) would just give up expensive R&D and give in to google handling the UI for Android.

most people i know who has the galaxy s have moved to desire for one good reason...user experience...lahi ra gyud ang sense compared to touchwiz...lupigon gyud ang samsung dira...pero nindot gyud tuod ang specs sa galaxy s. ang usability lang ang apan.

hmmm.. so basin personal preference lang jud, as what earlz said. kay kung sa ako lang.. ganahan ra jud kaayo ko sa touchwiz 3.0. nagsuway man pud ko sa mga luanchers nga naa sa android market. so far ang zeam akong pinakaganahan sa mga naa sa market. pero balik ra jud gihapon ko sa stock. mas ganahan ra jud ko..

also.. right out of the box, makaplay na ka ug mga divx movies. so wala na hasul convert convert sa imong mga movies. i dont know with the desire kung unsa iyang makaya. though makadownload or makapalit ra pud cguro ka ug player nga capable ana sa android market..

Android 3.0 Will I think already compete with Netbooks w windows 7, Exciting times. I hope they will make aps that will rival that of Photo shop and the likes para super fast netbook that can perform like a PC nata

yeah, winpho is looking very promising, now that they've ditched their Kin series. Apps plus the incredible community support that windows mobile will get (xda developers, specifically) will perhaps make it a player in the smartphone market.

Of course dili jud mag palupig ang Android.

Id say its too bad for them, but UI is purely a personal preference.. Theres a lot of launchers available that can change touchwiz 3.0 and even give the leap feature from HTC. But at the end of the day its personal preference though

yeah i guess to a great deal that is true.
but all im saying is out of the box, all those i know personally including myself op for the sense compared to the touchwiz.

have you tried sense sa desire? for me thats the main difference.
i myself have tried the touchwiz and those launchers but i prefer the builtin sense on the desire.

out of the box the galaxy s does have more features to offer being newer and all but like you said divx movies, there are better players for it at the market anyways. but again what my opinion stand is as far as the sense UI goes only...and as been mentioned that can be largely due to personal preference.

yes thank god they abandoned their kin series. its about time they get back in the game.

but win7mobile is a joke for me at this stage. no cut and paste.... no multitasking... making all the same mistakes apple did with the original iphone. and pushing the unfinished unpolished product to maket for the last quarter of this year it think is a bad start of the the platform. though financially that maybe a good move but could easily backfire.

@mark: You think the desire will get the HD video capabilities, this is one of my requirements for my next unit so I will be able to upload HD video blogs directly from the phone. I am like every inch of the desire right now but still weighing all my options and BUDGET lol!
