Default Federalism. Is it worth fighting for?

Pros and Cons of Federalism according to Jose Abueva, former president of University of the Philippines.
    https://bpspolitics.wordpress.com/2007/02/11/97/

    Pros:
    (1) It ensures that government remains close to the people because the state government argue that they are more in tune with the daily needs and aspirations of people especially relevant to small and isolated places.
    (2) It encourages development of the nation in a decentralized and regional manner and allows for unique and innovative methods for attacking social, economic and political problems.
    (3) It provides a barrier to the dominance of the majority

    Cons:
    (1) It can lead to duplication of government and inefficient, over-lapping or contradictory policies in different parts of the country.
    (2) It can lead to inequality between the states and lead to unhealthy competition and rivalry between them.
    (3) It can lead to over-government that will result to corruption

Is it worth it or not? Why?

If the leader/president is Duterte, worth it, if not, there's no hope.

If we directly copy from other countries, bati

If we copy a template from other countries and fine tune it for our country, there's hope to have a better country.

It is worth trying for - we have seen and lived in the same government for decades and what happened? - no progress, more corruption, poverty, etc.... now if we can live a new government under DU30 - we can all have a chance to experience a new way of government that is focused mainly for poor people. - let's hope and think positive.

We people always think that the form of government is the problem.
Pero ang tinood, ang mga tao in that form of government ang problema.
Bisag mag-federalism ta, if it's run by the same trapo's, mao lang japon!

Para nako, any form of government is fine as long as it's being run correctly by the right people.

Duterte cannot be president forever. I see federalism to more prone to corruption than our current unitary system due bloated government. If our system now has rampant corruption i expect more in federalism. Unlike Federal USA, we do not have freedom of information law and we saw how FOI has been scrapped in the congress for the last 2 decades.

Kapoy na balik-balik ug botar ug mga pulitoko nga lami kaayo manulti pero inig ma elect same ra ang pilipinas, way kalainan sa mga nangagi nga pulitiko. Duterte ta oi. Corruption will be isolated to a state doesn't not affect much on a national level.
Its like to quarantine a diseased sub government or state so it will experience its own consequences of corruption and will not affect the national level only in a state level, and easy to isolate the issue.

di ka mo-suway sa semento nga dalan nga bisan tuod dugay himuon, nindot ang resulta?

and if dili ka, mas daghang tawo gusto ang kausaban...(federalism)
