Should I have prenatal massages?...
Interestin.
Prenatal massage. Regular massage doesn't work because of the positioning of your body and because there are areas that need to not be massaged when pregnant. Anyone trained should know what areas of the body to avoid. I got a special prenatal massage at a spa in my hometown. The pillows they have you lie on look ridiculous but are made to take pressure even off of your boobs. The place I go https://smileanma.com has a special insert to go on the table when you are pregnant. I guess like a belly hole! I haven't used it yet because I'm only 17 weeks, but I'll likely have to next time I go.
I get a prenatal massage every 4 weeks since 12 weeks and it really helps with the pain of spd and sciatica. The therapist only does my back down to the top of my butt, shoulders and up my neck and I'm pretty sensitive so she goes really softly. I had never had massages previously either but I'm really enjoying them. The only problem I've had is being allergic to one of the oils she used.
