do you really have to Please your parents and Follow their Needs for your Future?
do you have the Guts to stand by Yourself?
do you really think this will help you Understand their Feelings?

What if you Do not Like it?
What if it's like a Shotgun-Fixed-Marriage?

yeah... i think the Chinese has this thing na parang Ayala-Zobel Clan... na its either regarding the Mana or the Apelyido they're trying to Protect...
Or its about the Work or Deal that the Parents have...

naa ko friend na in-ani mag istoryans, i wont go into details nalang but ang ending kay buwag na sila in less than 2 years raman tingali, maau gani wala silay anak. lisud ang in-ana na sitwasyon ui.

sa karong panahona and our generation, lisud man jud na fixed marriage as we've been raised to think for ourselves/speak out (tungod sa mga people who fought for these kinds of things). kita mo sa atong generation or even the next generation karon? na maglisud ug disiplina ang mga parents sa atoa? kung ako, mu dili jud ko oi! but if i was born earlier... like decades ago, mu tuo tingali ko sa ako parents....

there are other ways to please our parents... like do well in school, get a good job, make the right choices, blah blah... but pleasing them by agreeing to a fixed marriage, hell no!

shotgun marriage? di man musugot ang church ana hehe ...

For me, I don't think that's favorable. I would rather stick to my principles.. Choosing our partner for life is our own discretion. That would definitely decide whether our life would be miserable or not in the long run.

yeah i know but is it ok for you guys to tell that directly to your parents? what if, let say your parents owe money from a dealer and you need to marry his/her daughter/son to pay for your parents debt?

for my part i'd talk to the girl and tell her that we need to do this for the sake of our parents. i know that we'll get along on the way but we need to act as if we are married... and then we can see somebody else but in front of them we need to act as if we're married. hehehe...

and then kung may makakita na meron tayong ibang kasama then that's the Signal that we need to have an anullment. at least we are free afterwards and malay mo ma'build up relationship nyo kasi mamimiss nyo ang isa't isa... hehehe

depende ra gyud na... what if naa kay uyab na love nimu... dayon imu parents naa na diay kasabot sa lain parents na magminyo ilang mga anak... pagila2x nimu sa gibuya sa imuha, you also fell in love with him/her... then u tried to weigh things out but it seems that you really have fallen deeper in love with this new love.... beh, asa man ka? diba klaru sa gibuya nimu imu pilion....
