Hi Istoryans,

Would like to share my experiences in Siem Reap, Cambodia when we visited the city last January. We were on a one-week vacation in Thailand and Cambodia and we spent the first part in Siem Reap for 3 Days and 2 Nights. I've compiled my blog articles about the short vacation and I tell you that Siem Reap is more than just the temples. Spent around 5000 Php excluding air fare there. All the way from Cebu, we reached this beautiful city!

haha, ok kaayo kay dili hasol ang immigration between Cambodia & BKK. mas bibo ang BKK pero mas barato ang Cambodia, ok gyapon puy-an for a couple of months.

Hi guys,
Just posting my total expenses during my trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia last January. This is to let people know that you don't need to go to those Packaged tours and spend much. Although tours are convenient, you can just Do It Yourself. Mas barato pa!

Total Budget Expense in Siem Reap, Cambodia

Total Budget Expense: 7866.15 Php --- excluding Air Fare.

The amount is inclusive of expenses in the Philippines (taxis, buses and travel taxes from Cebu to Manila to Clark - around 3000 Php), transport from Bangkok to Siem Reap and going back to Bangkok, 2-days tour around the temples and some food trips on the side.

Also, this computation is based on 3 people who shared a budget for the hostel and transportation which meant we were able to divide the cost of important expenses.

i was able to go to phnom penh then siem reap. Siem reap is definitely better than phnom penh. like TS, i also met those pushy seller kids at Angkor Wat. They would really grab your arm if you walk faster away from them. Almost didn't make it to tour the Angkor wat since we arrived almost 5pm already (they close before it gets dark). so we had a quick tour as everyone was leaving (recorded some running scenes along the way)hehe. then it started to rain so hard. everyone started dashing out from the temple to the parking lot. twas really a sight! we had people of all skin and hair colors sprawling on the grounds running. then those selling kids started greeting us as we ran out, the older ones shouting "hey, beautiful!" in all possible languages, till they managed to find the right words "maganda! maganda!"hehe not that i'm pretty, but it was pretty noteworthy for these kids to learn these.
