    note from CIC since they have the largest approved applicants here in cebu they spearheaded this seminar..

    Canadian Immigration Integration Project (CIIP) funded by the Government of Canada, will hold another two day session here in Cebu on July 18 to 20 at Golden Peak Hotel, this is to help eligible applicants under the Federal Skilled Workers Program to prepare for entry to the Canadian Labour Force.

    Participants will learn about a range of topics such as:

    o Trends in the Canadian labour market and in their province of destination;
    o Employment requirements in particular occupations;
    o Challenges involved in settling in Canada;
    o What can be done to overcome those challenges;
    o The job search in the Canadian context.

    * One-on-one counseling sessions based on an Individual Integration Plan:

    o Customized advice and guidance on labour market integration will be provided through
    interviews of approximately one hour;
    o During the interview, the counselor and client will work together to produce an Individual
    Integration Plan (IIP);
    o The plan outlines the necessary actions to prepare for entry to the Canadian labour market.

    * Contact with Canadian organizations that may assist in the implementation of the IIP:
    CIIP staff will provide the contact information for organizations that may provide:

    o Practical assistance in credential assessment and recognition;
    o Language and skills testing and upgrading;
    o Licensing;
    o Finding employment.

    CIIP services are offered free of charge by a Canadian Field Office Manager and a group of locally engaged professionals in Guangzhou, China, New Delhi, India and Manila, Philippines
