• Muffins for a Cause: ABC Turns Over Raised Funds for Moms and Babies in Need

The Abaca Groupís Abaca Baking Company (ABC) turned over raised funds amounting to P131,187.50 to the Glory Reborn Organization last August 27, 2019. The donation is for the benefit of marginalized moms and babies in Cebu and was received by the organization's founders Hilary and David Overton.

The Abaca Group has partnered with Glory Reborn and has supported the organizationís mission and initiatives for over a decade now. This year, for Motherís Day, ABC sold special SweetHero morning muffins in all of Abaca Baking Companyís nine branches at Crossroads Mall in Banilad, The Terraces and Rustanís 2F at Ayala Center Cebu, Paseo Arcenas in Banawa, Robinsons Cybergate and Galleria, TGU Tower and Filinvest Cyberzone in IT Park, and The Northwing of SM City Cebu.

"We are proud to support and partner with Glory Reborn Organization. Their mission of helping moms and babies in need is very close to our hearts and we are more than happy to help their initiatives in our own way. We would also like to thank our generous customers who purchased the #SweetHero muffins. Their kindness will go a long way," said Jason Hyatt, founder of The Abaca Group.

"I am truly thankful to The Abaca Group for the generosity and the successful Motherís Day initiative which is investing life and hope in Glory Rebornís community of mothers. Abaca Baking Company, thank you for making such delicious #SweetHero muffins and honoring the sweetest heroes of our community, mothers. From our sweet heroes to yours, thank you!Ē shares Hilary Overton, who manages the clinic where over 3,500 healthy babies have been birthed.

All of the proceeds will be used to help in the non-profit organization's free maternity clinic at Barangay Basak San Nicolas where they offer health education for expectant mothers, labor and delivery service, postpartum check-ups and newborn care backed by healthcare professionals. The organization also extends its services outside the clinic and to the outskirts with its weekly community outreach where team members visit marginalized communities and provide expecting mothers in need of quality medical services.

Founded in 2003, Glory Reborn Organization envisions a community with ďhealthy moms, healthy babies, and hopeful heartsĒ by providing compassionate and holistic care to moms and babies in need.
