Love Letters: First Loves, Second Chances
Love Letters is A.R. Gurney's Pulitzer Prize Finalist for Drama. Love Letters is a unique and imaginative theater piece. It comprised of letters exchanged over a lifetime between two people who grew up together, went their separate ways, but continued to share confidences. An evocative, funny but telling story unfolds. As the play progresses, what is implied is as revealing and meaningful as what is actually written down.
It opened on Broadway in 1989. Made into a film that aired on ABC in 1999, and returned to Broadway for a limited engagement in 2014.
On its 12th Anniversary, The Cre8tive Thespians Club (CTC) will present LOVE LETTERS. Watch it on February 24 and March 4, 2017, at Full Moon Recreation Center, Apitong Street, Cebu City.
For the past 11 years, CTC has produced musicals such as ANASTASIA, LES MISERABLES, and RENT. CTC has collaborated to do an original musical, KINDRED HEARTS. This year, CTC decided to do something different - stripped down, straightforward, and heartfelt.
Con is one of CTC's two resident artists who will be playing the challenging role of Melissa Gardner in LOVE LETTERS.
