• Lalamove creates more jobs this 2021 by launching their Sedan fleet

Despite the challenges of 2020, Lalamove has maintained a foothold in the delivery industry with sustained growth. The pandemic has shown the value of same-day delivery and with the continuous rise of online businesses, Lalamove invests further in its fleet expansion to meet the growing demand while also creating more job opportunities.

This year marks the launch of the sedan fleet of Lalamove, which has long been requested by its loyal customers. This new fleet will feature 200kg of weight capacity with dimensions of 3.5 x 2 x 2.5 ft. It falls perfectly between the motorcycle and the MPV category, promising a significant capacity upgrade from the motorcycle fleet and lower prices compared to the 300kg MPVs. Business users stand to benefit from the new category as the food & beverage industry and online marketplaces have shown a steady increase in demand for 4-wheel deliveries. In addition, this opens up great earning opportunities to more people whose livelihood has been affected by the pandemic.

"Our goal this year is to further enhance the flexibility of our delivery services. The launch of the sedan fleet is our answer to the ever-growing needs of our customers while creating more jobs for the driving community." - Dannah Majarocon, Managing Director of Lalamove Philippines

With the 200kg Sedan fleet available to take on deliveries on February 1, 2021, Lalamove will be accepting applications starting on January 14. Aspiring partner drivers may join through this link https://www.lalamove.com/philippines/manila/fil/drive.

The growth of many e-commerce platforms is the effect of the transition from traditional shopping channels to online platforms during quarantine. The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has caused the rise and fall of several industries worldwide. Even though e-commerce platforms have long been on the rise, the process was fast-tracked when quarantine guidelines were put into place. With the absence of traditional shopping channels, customers have flocked to e-commerce platforms to secure purchases and transactions. Many stores and restaurants have also transitioned online to serve their target market.
