Laughter may be in the air. But there is plenty of room for laughter as Facedown Productions producer Shirley Grace Ong brings to Cebu four of the country’s most-loved laugh-out-loud artists in the concert “A Funny Valentine.”
K Brosas, Pokwang, Chokoleit, and Pooh will be in town this weekend. They will perform in two different shows that will have concertgoers keeling over in rib-tickling laughter.
The first show will be on February 11, Saturday, 7:30 p.m. at the Hoops Dome in Lapu-Lapu City. Then, a more intimate affair atop the hills of Cebu follows with a show over at the Marco Polo Plaza Hotel the following day at 6:30 in the evening.
Four times the laughter and fun as the quartet showcases their individual comedic styles together, in the show that has been making waves abroad. But is making its debut in the country, here in Cebu.
At the fore will be veteran actress Pokwang. She is just coming off a successful stint as Agnes De Guia-Nicolas in the hit ABS-CBN teleserye “Till I Met You”. She starred alongside James Reid and Nadine Lustre. As if Pokwang’s versatility isn’t enough, joining her on stage will be the actress, singer, and television host K Brosas. She regales audiences daily on the Kapamilya noontime show “It’s Showtime.”
Then there is Chokoleit. The comedy bar veteran who made his mark in mainstream television and movies. With roles in the movie “Etiquette for Mistresses,” the GMA drama anthology “Dear Uge” and of course, the 2005 hit “Marina” where he portrayed Pearly Shell.
Rounding out the quartet is Pooh. The Banana Split mainstay. He started off his career as an impersonator of the great boxing legend, Manny Pacquiao.
Fall in laughter if not in love this weekend. Catch these renowned artists in “A Funny Valentine.”
Tickets are still available at The Retail Therapy in Capitol, One Events, Eden Place, and at all Rico's Lechon outlets across Cebu.
