DC Shoes is at it again. Back in 2017, they broke the Guinness World Record for the largest skateboarding parade with the in line with their Go Skateboarding Day Celebration that year. This year, theyíre set to keep making this sport bigger and better, drawing thousands of skaters to the Queen City of the South, Cebu.

Cebu has a thriving skating community which is largely responsible for producing some of the best skaters in the Philippines. On June 21 and 22, the Cebu skate scene will have a bigger reason to celebrate as DC Philippines, in partnership with GRND Philippines and sponsored by Stance PH, will be holding itís Go Skateboarding Day 2019 in around Cebu City.

This epic event kicks off with a Skateboarding Parade on June 21. The registered skaters will begin in Fuente Osmena Circle and end in Plaza Independencia. In the evening, guests and media partners will have the opportunity to meet their favorite DC riders, Alexis Ramirez, Shaun Paul, Alex Lawton, Cyril Jackson for a special Q&A and poster signing with the fans.

On June 22 at the covered parking of SM City Cebu, the fun begins with exciting contests designed to challenge each skater to test their limits. It starts off with the Game of Skate where skater 1 will do a trick that skater 2 has to accomplish. Each time a skater fails to do a trick set by the other player, they get a point. The one with the highest number of fails, loses.

The Longest Gap Challenge comes up next where each player must Ollie over 5 skateboards cleanly (no hitting of the bar, heel/toe drag, etc.) to get to the next round. A skateboard is added after every round and the one who jumps over the most skateboards win.

The Highest Ollie is another game that skaters can take part of. Participants must Ollie or hippie jump over the bars cleanly to get to the next round, with one bar added after every round. Again, the skater who can Ollie over the most number of bars wins the game.

The most anticipated event, the DC Amateur Competition and the Pro Demo, will be held later in the day. A skateboarding demo featuring the four (4) DC Riders will be held during the afternoon. They will be showcasing their skills and plethora of skateboarding tricks. The DC Amateur Competition will be the main event of the day where skateboarders will have to do one-minute runs that will be based on technicality, consistency, and creativity. The price pot for this competition is 20,000 pesos and the Champion will be awarded a 1 year rider contract with DC Philippines.
