• Common Ground teams up with University of the Visayas

The University of the Visayas Green Lancers’ drive for dominance in the 17th Cesafi men’s basketball tournament partners with basketball and lifestyle boutique, Common Ground.

With competition’s intensity level ratcheting up in the following weeks, with the semifinals commencing and the championship round immediately following afterward, both the Green Lancers and Baby Lancers are expected to go deep into the postseason.

Common Ground deemed the decision to partner with the University of the Visayas basketball program owing to their rich history in the sport. The Green Lancers are the most dominant team in Cesafi history, amassing 11 championships in the college division – highlighted by an incredible nine-year title run from 2001 to 2010.

The Baby Lancers also boasts of the most titles in the high school division.

UV also lays claim to an impressive roster of basketball alumni, ranging from current PBA players Greg Slaughter and JR Quinahan, and UAAP standouts Paul Desiderio and Jun Manzo.

Cebu First District Representative Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas, who acts as the team’s manager, expressed his gratitude to Common Ground for choosing his school to partner with.

“We thank Common Ground for supporting the UV Baby and Green Lancers. A company that has been delivering quality and excellent service to Cebuanos!” he said.

Common Ground is located at the Gallery along Pope John Paul II Avenue in Brgy. Kasambagan.
