• CLI Statement on COVID-19

The current situation of COVID-19 is affecting the Visayas and Mindanao regions where CLI operates. Cebu and our neighboring VisMin cities are placed under “Community Quarantine” which implies heightened safety measures and reduced operations in both government and businesses.

In support of the entire VisMin community, we are seriously committed in doing our share amidst this unfortunate situation. The well-being of all our stakeholders, starting with our employees, residents, third-party construction workers, and healthcare professionals, is of our utmost priority.

Our employees will be on flexible work arrangement to ensure their safety. We are providing masks and medicine health kits during this period. Also, we are extending an early release of their 14th month bonus to further support their families’ needs. Should there be a lock- down, pay without work will be provided for employees who cannot work from home.

Our residents will be provided with hygiene measures within the CLI properties. We are distributing hand sanitizers throughout the company’s facilities, offices, project sites, and communities, limiting number of riders on all elevators, implementing temperature checks at entrances, and adding cleaning services for all CLI properties.
Our more than 5,000 third-party construction workers, who are continuing to work on our projects will be supported. As they are permitted by the government to work, we are offering additional financial support through allowances on a daily basis.

Our healthcare professionals from local government units are in most need of our support. We are donating medical supplies that would help them protect themselves as they care for the patients affected by the virus. We urge the public to help these heroes as they are our most important front liners in these trying times.

In this rapidly evolving environment, we cannot predict the business impact at this time but are committed to put ourselves in the best position to resume normal operations when this situation recovers. CLI will continue to place the well-being of our people first and make sure to deliver and cater to the needs of our buyers, residents, business partners, government, and communities we serve.
With fortitude and solidarity, we can overcome this challenge together. - Jose Maria Soberano, CLI President and CEO

I wear a mask all the time. I found quality KN95 masks here https://www.protectly.co which are some of the personal protective equipment we can use to protect against airborne particles. This includes the SARS-COV-2 virus, responsible for the new coronavirus that is currently shutting down the world. We also regularly use hand sanitizer and wear gloves.
