• Cebu Parklane takes Sangka sa Kaha to Aloguinsan

      Sangka sa Kaha: Tinubaang Tinunuang Kinsan sa Aloguinsan is a signature event of Cebu Parklane International Hotel. This is the first segment of their Eat and Run promotion. It is in conjunction with the Hunat Sugbu 8 run that happened on June 24.

      Sangka sa Kaha is a cookout event. Traditional dishes of towns and municipalities of Cebu are featured. Parklane takes pride in being a hotel that stands for Cebu. This yearís Sangka Sa Kaha happened on June 15. This event was supported by Del Monte, Smart Communications, Unilever, and Sugbuturismo.

      The day started with a Bojo river cruise.

      The cookout was at Aloguinsanís Baluarte Park. Smart cellular reception is prominent in this area. This year, seven contenders competed for Aloguinsanís specialty dish.

      The group has a main member with two assistants. The municipality is known for their Tinubaang Tinonuang Kinsan sa Aloguinsan. The dish incorporates three important aspects. First, the Tuba or coconut wine. Second, the Tuno or coconut milk. Lastly, the Kinsan, grouper fish that thrive in Aloguinsan. Each group had an hour to prepare their dishes. The winning group was of Erlinda Gimenez. She is a member of the Bojo Aloguinsan Eco-tourism Association. Aside from Aloguinsanís specialty, there were other Cebuano dishes. For example, humba sa Ronda, torta de Argao, and takyong sa Borbon. The Tinubaang Tinonuang Kinsan sa Aloguinsan is available at the hotelís Kan-anan Restaurant. It is a restaurant that specializes in authentic Cebuano dishes. It is on the 4th floor of the hotel.
