• Ayala Business Club Donates Rice to Cebu City Gov’t, Barangays

The Ayala Business Club of Cebu, Inc. (ABCCI) donated 50 sacks of rice last April 21, to the Cebu City Government, Barangay Luz, and Barangay Carreta.

ABCCI president Dino Abellanosa turned over 30 sacks of rice to the Cebu City Government while Barangay Luz and Barangay Carreta also received 10 sacks each through Barangay Captains Ronnie Sab-a and Marciano Ando, respectively.

Both barangays are situated near Cebu Business Park where several Ayala-owned businesses are located. Sitio Zapatera in Barangay Luz was placed on total lockdown last April 11 after residents tested positive for COVID-19.

The donation is in support of Ayala Foundation, Inc.’s #MagingMagiting campaign which aims to rekindle nationalism and Filipino pride.

The Ayala Business Club of Cebu, Inc. (ABCCI), an organization of brands under the Ayala Group of Companies, bands together to leverage their strength and address urgent and critical concerns, as they lean and learn from each other in times of crisis such as the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Being one of the earliest business clubs to be organized in the country, the role of ABCCI is to harness its business synergy and create shared value with its stakeholders. In these unprecedented times, it recognizes that fundraising is an important and critical activity to ensure the organization is able to respond to the development challenges of the community and to be able to sustain its operations.

In Cebu, projects in the areas of education, environment, and entrepreneurship aim to achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs) of the community and country, mobilizing the strength of the conglomerate. Among the specific projects the club has been involved with over the years are Brigada Eskwela, Kan-irag Reforestation Project, Book and Learning Materials Donation, and other various specific CSV projects of the business units.

The Ayala Business Club of Cebu, Inc. brings together brands under the Ayala Group of Companies including Cebu Holdings Incorporated, Ayala Land Sales, Inc., Ayala Center Cebu, Cebu Park District, Globe Telecom, and City Sports Club Cebu, Inc.
