The Show
Tara Na! is a travel show that will highlight the finest tourist attractions and destinations in the Visayas region. This will be aired every Sunday from 7:30-8:30 in the morning. When just spending time at home during the Sundays, Tara Na! will serve as your tour-guide and knowledge-provider about the hidden gems of the Visayas region. Not only that, the show will feature note-worthy tourist hubs, paradise-like beaches, exotic and mouth-watering cuisine from grand restaurants to hole-in-the-walls, remarkable hotels and historical sites.
At its core, the show serves as a brochure for Cebuanos and travellers alike for future travels, promoting local tourism to the rest of the world. In fact, according to Ann Damo, the marketing and communications head of Madfish Productions, the show will be dubbed in Korean as it will be aired in Korea!
The Hosts
The Grand Launching of Tara Na! was held on the evening of the 20th of June at the Cordova Eco-tourism Center in Day-as. Upon learning of the event’s location, I was thrilled since Cordova is a place of great tourism promise and potential – from its beaches to the cuisine to its people. Speaking of which, one of the show’s hosts is none other than Cordova’s Vice-Mayor herself Teche Sitoy-Cho. She was joined onstage by her co-hosts: Benjoe Leoncio and Gino Galicia.

The Event
The event was filled with well-known personalities here in Cebu. Let me make mention of the presence of Cordova Mayor Adelino Sitoy, TV personality Atty. Rose Versosa, and Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes. Aside from the local contingent, several Korean nationals also chimed in to show their support, truly giving the show international depth and feel.
This is the kind of show that will embody Cebu’s best and the Visayas region’s ultimate! Tara Na will become a medium that will make our region known and be appreciated by the rest of the world. So tara na! Mag suroy-suroy na ta!
