In a vibrant celebration of growth, innovation, and lasting partnerships, Digimap officially opened its 20th store in the Philippines, marking a significant milestone for the premium Apple reseller. The grand opening took place at Ayala Center Cebu, a site rich in company history, as Digimap first established its presence in Cebu there in 1995 alongside Athlete's Foot.
Honoring 30 Years of Legacy
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Anton Gonzalez, President of Digimap Philippines, reflected on the company's journey—from its humble beginnings three decades ago to its current status as a trusted Apple destination in Southeast Asia. This opening not only celebrates 30 years since the launch of Digimap's first store in Cebu but also reaffirms the brand's long-standing relationship with Ayala. This partnership has helped Digimap bring world-class retail experiences to the Filipino market.
Also present at the ceremony were Kyle Tabanao, Operations Manager; Country General Manager, Mapple Philippines Inc. (Digimap & Digiplanet); and Jennifer Maran, Country Operations Head. The ribbon-cutting marked the official launch of what is now Digimap's largest store in Cebu, further strengthening its presence in the Visayas region.
Expanding Horizons Across Southeast Asia
Digimap's growth in the Philippines is part of a broader regional success story. The brand has expanded its footprint across five countries—Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Cambodia. With 150 locations in Indonesia alone, Digimap continues to thrive as a leading Apple reseller in Southeast Asia.
In the Philippines, Digimap is part of the Duma Group, which also operates well-known retail brands such as Planet Sports and Foot Locker. The newly opened Ayala Center Cebu store is the third Digimap branch in Cebu, underscoring the company's commitment to serving the city's tech-savvy consumers.
A Vision for Nationwide Excellence
As Digimap celebrates this milestone, it looks ahead with ambitious goals. The company emphasized its vision to deliver premium Apple experiences nationwide, extending beyond major urban hubs like Metro Manila and Cebu to connect with customers across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Central to this mission is a commitment to service excellence and a deepening of community engagement in every region it enters, recognizing the importance of our customers in our journey.
"Our goal is not just to sell Apple products, but to create a space where customers can engage with technology meaningfully," said Anton Gonzalez during the ceremony. "This new store in Cebu represents our ongoing investment in both infrastructure and relationships."
Building on Partnerships and Community
The event also highlighted the importance of collaboration. Digimap expressed deep appreciation to Catalyst for its support in organizing the launch and acknowledged special guests from the local Cebu community. The strong partnership with Ayala continues to be instrumental in Digimap's growth strategy, particularly as the company plans further expansion in Luzon, which remains a key focus area.
As part of post-event communications, an official event summary will be circulated to stakeholders, outlining the significance of this flagship opening and the company's strategic direction.
With the successful launch of its 20th store, Digimap reaffirms its role as a vital part of the Apple retail ecosystem in the Philippines. The flagship Ayala Center Cebu store is not only a tribute to Digimap's storied past but also a bold step into a future of expanded reach, strengthened partnerships, and continued service to Filipino consumers.
