NUSTAR Resort Cebu Observes Earth Hour 2025 with Sustainability Initiatives
On March 22, 2025, NUSTAR Resort Cebu participated in Earth Hour, a global movement promoting environmental sustainability. From 8:30 to 9:30 PM, the resort turned off its facade lights and dimmed indoor lighting across the property. This initiative included key areas such as the Fili Lobby, Poolside Garden, and Fina, highlighting the resort’s commitment to eco-friendly practices.
In addition to the symbolic gesture, NUSTAR Resort curated a cultural experience celebrating traditional Filipino customs and the significance of sustainability. Guests enjoyed performances of traditional dances such as Pandanggo sa Ilaw, Sayaw sa Bangko, and Harana at various locations, including the Poolside Garden, Fili Café, and Il Primo. These performances aimed to evoke a sense of reflection, showcasing the resourcefulness of cultural practices that rely on natural light and foster human connection, reminiscent of times when electricity was not widely available.
Furthermore, attendees were invited to a unique dining experience at the NUSTAR Poolside Gardens, allowing them to appreciate stunning views of Cebu City while joining the global tribute to the environment by turning off lights.
NUSTAR Resort Cebu’s engagement in Earth Hour 2025 underscores its continuous efforts to uphold sustainable practices and raise environmental awareness. The resort remains dedicated to fostering a healthier planet for future generations.
