Many of us have a lot of idle time. It can be depressing. On one hand, idle time on a rainy day is a killer. It makes us start to feel very lazy -- read a good book, browsing around, feeling so idle to get up or even like a cat slumbering in her sunny corner, catch-up talks and swapping jokes while hanging out in a coffee shop with best of friends. But sometimes, rainy days makes us want to look ravishing and fashionable despite of a cold breezy weather.

Fashion is so loved nowadays. We all love fashion. You may not always own the most-talked-about or most-often-seen-on-runway fashion items. But what’s important for whatever you do have on your closet, you rock them in your incredibly stylish ways. Being in the trend for rainy season, we need to know clearly which style we wear and fit us perfectly and awesomely.
You don’t necessarily have to go out to buy a new wardrobe. It’s not a hindrance. Spending on luxurious brands is not always a worthy investment. There are so many thrift shops out there or even online shops that are dime a dozen that caters unique finds without hurting your budget. Rainy days pushes us to get up, wear something non-depressing, practical, eclectic and stylish and show off what we’ve got.
Here are some of my ideas that might help you. If this is your taste, you could utilize the advices to beautify yourself.
Outfit #1: Skinny faded jeans, lousy v-neck shirt, cardigan or leather jacket, neck scarf and I go crazy when it comes to rain boots, and this look is my perfect choice. It’s hard to say no to nice shoes/boots especially on rainy days. They fit great, feel great, look great, and do what they’re supposed do perfectly to keep out of water. There are so many cute rain boots today to fit any sense of style. And this look gives me the touch of an updated independent feminine yet hippie girl, which I really dig.
But still being fashionable depends on your taste in color, look and style. Each one of us has different sense of taste and thus, establishing a fashion statement creates an identity for an individual.
Wearing vintage or even second-hand clothes simply means that hardly anyone else has what you have. You might wanna impersonate your mom’s 80’s fashion fad or better yet do not throw away your old pieces because they are definitely going to be such a treasure.

Outfit #2: Highwaist bottoms were very much trendy. You may pair it with a vintagey long-sleeved top, boots or you may use open sandals or flip-flops so that the feet can dry quickly and just be careful when you wear them as they tend to slip off, add those beanies and keep accessories minimal.
Outfit #3: It’s also very important for someone who’s into fashion to know what the best feature in her body is and use it to rock the whole outfit. If you want to achieve a chic style during rainy season, a plain black dress is definitely interesting layered under a pretty floral cardigan or blazer worn unzipped and a simple yet fashionable flats will surely gain you some admiring glances. This outfit is perfect if you want to dress it up a little bit, or if you’re heading out on a date and the weather decides to work against you. It’s simply adorable.
Outfit #4: Hoodies are a must for rainy season so you can cover the hair effortlessly if you don’t want to carry around an umbrella. This is a mix of dressed-up and dressed-down by wearing a bubble skirt and a hoodie paired with booties. Sounds weird, but you can totally pull it off. That’s just how you roll it. Lifesavers!
Outfit #4: Black tights are like impossibly hot on such days. Layering it with a pretty, summery dress under a long-sleeved or ¾ jacket and boots and you’re set.
Just remember adding color is a must. When you add color to your rainy day outfit you don’t feel all gloomy and down. You will surely love the rain and it’s a cute way to enjoy your day.
And lastly outfit #5: The best look is, in my opinion, the way and style you think are fashionable. As rainy months fall, think function first when dressing. You appear so fierce on the outside in terms with how your eyes express and how you project yourself in public. Just be yourself. Just being who you are and seek your own trend, then you’ll definitely be the most fashionable on the outside as well as on the inside and you’re now good to go while raindrops fall on your head. Completely fashionable and popular if you ask me. That’s all you need.
