On November 21, 2025, Ayala Center Cebu held its "A Light We Share" Christmas Tree Lighting Event, bringing together merchant partners, suppliers, media representatives, the Ayala Center Cebu team, and customers to kick off the festive season.
This gathering not only celebrated Christmas but also expressed gratitude for the partnerships and support that empower Ayala Center Cebu to serve the community and spread hope. Attendees were encouraged to share the gifts of joy and hope with their loved ones.
The event featured reflections on Cebu's resilience amidst recent challenges, including an earthquake and the devastating effects of "Tino," which brought severe damage to certain areas. Stories about how coming together through acts of kindness, support, and volunteerism during these challenging times highlight the strength and compassion of the people.
The lighting of the Christmas tree symbolized hope and unity, kicking off the "A Light We Share" campaign. This initiative invited attendees to donate in exchange for ornament cards, on which they could write messages of encouragement for those affected by recent events. These messages adorned the tree and will later be given to impacted communities, reinforcing the bonds of compassion and generosity.
Throughout the event, guests enjoyed a festive atmosphere filled with beautifully decorated trees and various activities leading up to the ceremonial lighting, which served as a beacon of hope and togetherness for the coming year.
After the program, attendees wrote their personal messages for the ornament cards while enjoying refreshments. Ayala Center Cebu administration and key officials had a group photo after the tree lighting.
The celebration highlighted the importance of community resilience and the power of simple acts of kindness. It motivated participants to keep spreading hope and compassion throughout the holiday season, emphasizing that even the smallest gestures can lead to a significant positive impact.
