Hunat Sugbu 12: A Triumphant Run for Wellness and Community Impact
Over 3,000 Runners, One Cause, Countless Lives Touched
Hunat Sugbu 12, the highly anticipated fun run organized by Cebu Parklane International Hotel, concluded successfully this June as thousands of runners gathered at the starting line, not only to pursue their personal bests but also to contribute to a meaningful cause.
Now in its 12th year, Hunat Sugbu—which translates to "Run Cebu!"—is more than just a race. It is a tribute to the hotel's late patriarch, Mr. Manuel Ting, and a long-standing tradition that unites runners, families, fitness communities, and corporate partners in a celebration of health, unity, and Bayanihan.
This year's event attracted over 3,000 participants from diverse backgrounds, competing in 5K, 12K, and 21K race categories. The proceeds from the event will directly support the hotel's annual medical mission in Barangay Luz on July 5, benefiting hundreds of underserved individuals through free medical consultations, dental care, minor surgeries, legal aid, and other essential services.
Powered by Community Support
The success of Hunat Sugbu 12 would not have been possible without the generous support of sponsors, media partners, and volunteers. Their collaboration helped ensure seamless race logistics, provided generous raffle prizes, and extended media reach, truly making this a community-driven achievement.
As Hunat Sugbu continues to grow each year, Cebu Parklane International Hotel remains committed to strengthening its role as a distinctly local hotel with a heart for service, demonstrating that even a simple run can have a profound impact on lives.
Looking Ahead
With the success of Hunat Sugbu 12, preparations for Hunat Sugbu 13 are already underway. More than just a run, it serves as a reminder that wellness, generosity, and community spirit will always propel us forward, one step at a time.
