Is subwoofer bad for Hard Drives?

Just finished building my new table in my room but my concern is my cpu is above of my sub-woofer. Is it safe for my hard drive? Dli man sad ko grabe mag pa sounds like grabe mo vibrate ang table. HOw bout the magnet sa sub? See pic below. Please comment mga master. Thanks!





btw my speaker is Altec Lansing VS4121 2.1

I think these magnets are shielded. However, i still would not recommend doing so as the subs tend to vibrate.

Also, these subs are better placed on the floor.

Thanks for this sir! Yes as per pic below my sub is placed on the floor but its near and above of my cpu. I will find another space nlang in my newly built table ASAP. Thanks again.

@TS: Firstly congrats sa imong very nice DIY computer table. Ikaw jud ga buhat ani? kulang nalang ug finish nga glossy aron mas nindot pajud. Regarding to your concerns if HDD will be affected sa subwoofer/speaker satellites? I guess NO since speaker satellites are magnetic shielded as well as the subwooder. Pareho ta ug sound setup Altec Lansing VS4121 and my CPU is on my table top while my subwoofer is at the buttom and vice versa. Mao nani na setup nako ever since pero wala manko mag problema sa akong HDD maski full max blast akong subwoofer permi. I think sa imong setup and having a nice computer table, you won't have problem with that but for optimum 2.1 speaker performance, you should relocate your subwoofer below your table and should be standing position ayaw ipahigda or itago and learn some cable management aron ma limpyo ang mga wirings as well.

Thanks bro! Dili ako nag himo ani pero ako ang nag designed and have a good panday to help me. Yes need to paint it maybe this weekend. I already placed the subwoofer on the floor upright position. I already have plans for the cable management and waiting for my panday to finish it. Again thanks for the tips peeps!

exactly bro! hehehehe Naa ko 3 ka altec speakers ATP3, GT5051R and VS4121 2.1. Kanang GT nko grabe ka dugay na. I think sobra na 15 yrs pag palit nko but still kicking! love it!





Kaning GT5051R dli na mo function ang volume rocker but the remote is still working. Ang speaker sa left side sa GT is scratchy na kaau. Ma fix pa ni bro? Hinuon as what I said its more than 15 yrs old na so bawe na tingali ni nko. hehehehe
