Default How to connect LED strips to PSU DIY ( Do it your slef!!!)

ok opening joke may babae umakyat sa puno.......ok na yan.... wala na tayong oras.. punta na tayo sa topic..

So for our topic today... we are going to put an LED strip.. into the PC... the question is why? uhmm... because we can.. just for bling bling../good looks... it doesnt add to the performance of the pc and at the same time consuming addition power/wattage on youre electric bill... but dont be alarmed.. you wont even notice it... ^_^

so to start... we are going to need a molex connector..available on all leading drug stores...

so starting from the left...(my left) RED black black and yellow...
so there's a few things we need to know about those wires... the red, and the black wire beside it will deliver 5volts...the other black and yellow will deliver 12v.. the black wires are what they call as a ground or a (-) ...the colored ones red and yellow are the positive..

the led strips are gonna need a 12v power..DC so we are gonna use the yellow and the black wire beside it...
    so heres the led strip

notice that thingy that has a number 271? thats what they call a resistor... the work of the resistor is for you to google it and find out... :P

well we are going to connect the power source in this order.. power then resistor then led.... if you do it the other way around.. thats for me to know and for you to find out whats going to happen to those leds

first we are going to cut our way trough the waterproofing rubber..

put some solder on its contacts....

and solder the yellow and black wire to the led strip...the way it is shown on the pic...

and done... connect it to the PSU ( power supply) and let there be light..

    TADA..!! ^_^

and so..optional... put some switch or a dimmer and baby lock the doors and turn the lights down low ^_^
