This is to inform you about the rampant buying of defective Seagate hard drives.
Your hard drive's warranty is still covered until the year 2010 or later.
You only need to fill up a form on the Seagate website with your HDDs Model/Part Number and Serial Number.
Once verified, you need to fill up the Shipping/Billing form.
They will ship the replacement
AT NO COST.
So, these people who are buying your harddisks are the ones getting the replacements.
I saw two threads here in your forum related to this modus operandi.
One thread starter even let's you pay more than a thousand pesos, saying that you will get a new drive for half it's original cost.
He receives your money and your defective hard disk. Then he submit the verification numbers to the Seagate website, he receives the replacement and gives it to you.
Why not submit it yourself at no cost?
Do not sell your defective hard disk.
Do not tell anybody the Model Number and Serial Number of your hard disk.
If you have a defective Seagate hard disk right now, visit their website to fill up the form yourself and they will ship a new drive to you.
