Lightbulb Need help in buying PSU with respect to power source and casing

Hey fellow istoryans. Just want to post a curious newbie question and I hope someone could help me with this.
Im planning to buy a new power supply soon. What I have here now is a generic PSU included in my Frontier Duke casing (I think this is 550 watts or 500 watts).

I'm also using a 500VA / 300 Watts (Output Power Capacity & Max Configurable Power) UPS (APC) and a typical generic AVR (I think its 500 Watts) to provide my PC with power.

Would it be OK for me to use my current UPS and / or AVR if I will be using a PSU higher than 500-550 Watts (probably ranging from 600-700 Watts)?

The other question is that would it also be necessary to use a PSU with high wattage for a PC casing with 3 fans or more?

I'll be checking this thread everyday so keep your insights coming in. Salamat!

It would be better if you post your specs or at least post kung unsay imo processor, motherboard, video card, RAM, Hard Drives, Optical Drives & fans.

Aron sad naa idea ang mga "masters" kung pilay power consumption sa imo computer.

To determine your specs follow this instrucitons:

    IF Windows XP:

Go to Start -> Run and type in "dxdiag" (without the quotes). There will be a question box, you may answer either yes or no, it doesn't matter. A box like this will pop up.

I have indicated the information that you need to post.
Indicated in blue is the CPU speed (Intel Pentium 4 3.2GHz). Indicated in red is the RAM your system has (1022MB). Indicated in yellow is the Brand and Model No. of the Motherboard (Intel D865GBF)

Next, click the "display" tab (indicated in red):

Indicated in green is the Driver version [6.14.0010.6177 (English)]. Indicated in yellow is Brand & Model No. of Video Card (Nvidia GeForce FX 5200). Indicated in blue is the RAM of your Video Card.

    Hope that helps.

by your upgrade nga dalan, best would be a 650W branded PSU. ure planned casing is overkill if u wont be installing branded fans, 120mm's by 3 more or less. plus ure plan to upgrade mobo to P45 tells me u wont be going crossifre soon, so wahtever VC u'll get, 650w would still be enaf.

salamat bro reishoto! really appreciate the opinion...
for the casing, im really aiming for the HAF 932...and wont be changing the big fans that are included...2nd option nalang ang NZXT tempest and ang 2 ka choices sa brand nga Antec... crossfire wont be an option for me also since it would be too much for my budget for the VC...still having thoughts 2nd thots (but aiming for a GForce 200 series)...
