Yes, and you must know the basics. Windows Networking Infrastructure.
Network administrator is obsolete term.
That should be Network Engineer or Systems Administrator.
ASFAIK, lisod ni sya mu skwela lang ka unya dili nimo magamit actual. I started as help desk support, then i moved to IT support. My senior system engineer saw that I have the skills. They entrusted me some system admin task while I developed some knowledge on my own. I impressed them. I became a part of the system engineering team as junior. Read books take certification know other Microsoft and Non Microsoft technologies. and the rest is history. Siguroha na passion nimo ang technology. You can practice by building your own network environment to see how a network operating system works.
@TS: Depende na sa imong gusto or type of technology sa network like Windows Server, of course you have to know their basics and how to configure and setups. Ug sa Linux ka you should also know the different type of Linux OS for servers and how manage it. Read books, take time to know and learn the basics and try to experience what you have discover and of course get a certification for CISCO, as its very important.
