Try this thread: https://www.istorya.net/forums/busin...cebu-city.html (Business Registration Info for Freelancers in Cebu City)

The fitting question is: To declare or to not declare ?
Kung unsa imong tubag, aw, sunda lang.
Kay ang BIR, if mo-file ka'g tax, modawat man jud na sila.

    Htennek and kapitanluffy like this.

If you are registered sa BIR doing professional business as a freelancer, then you better file your taxes.

If you are not registered sa BIR, nothing to worry for now.

If your client will ask OR (BIR-registered) then you must be registered. If your client wont ask so no need to be registered.

Now new requirements have opened up for freelancers, but it's still freer than those workers who are officially arranged.

In fact, it is really much easier for freelancers to pay taxes in this regard because they work informally. And if we take into account the fact that last year many people switched to the remote method of work, then most became freelancers. Me too. When I became interested in the topic of taxes they helped me a lot https://taxfyle.com/small-business-tax-calculator because these guys know their business as well as the alphabet, so they should be trusted. Find out more details from them
