@jhongardz; Read this thread: [FAQ] General FAQs + Quick guide to rooting/flashing roms [20 JAN 13] - xda-developers It contains all the basics of rooting and flashing custom ROMs & kernels. If you need further assistance, you can contact me either here or on XDA (my username is the same).

As for ICS for the O1, I recommend Hephappy's ICS plus 9.2.2. It's super stable and bug free. Just be aware, though, that ICS & JB drains the battery faster, especially if you use wifi or 3g for long periods.

Sir, i've already succesfully rooted my p500 once.but i dont know how to exactly flash a custom rom. Now,the problem is, I re-rooted my phone using superoneclick w/ Gingerbreak method. Suddenly it stucks on "waiting for device" and ended up nothing. Any suggestions sir? TIA and Godbless

That means that your PC could not communicate with the phone. Download and install the drivers from here, then try again. If you still experience problems, can you please specify what your Windows version is and the Android version on your phone (Settings > About phone)?

Regarding the custom roms, you'll need to install a custom recovery first (I prefer using TWRP for a touch-enabled recovery, or AmonRa 3.0.6 for a stable, bug-free recovery). Once you have a recovery installed, just download a custom rom of your choice, put in your sdcard, boot into recovery, wipe data, cache, dalvik-cache and system, then flash the custom ROM. If the rom doesn't come with built-in gapps, then also flash the recommended gapps package.

Yes, you just need to install a custom recovery first before you can flash a custom rom. Oh, and if you need any help on XDA, I'm also there under the same username. Good luck!

What recovery are you using? Is that CWM recovery? If so, then it's at Advanced > Wipe Dalvik cache.

If you're looking for ICS, I recommend Hephappy's cm-9.2.2-ICS-PLUS-FINAL -- it's the latest and most stable ICS release. Other ICS roms that aren't on the first page of the forum aren't updated and may contain bugs or other issues (though in your case, I suspect an error with flashing or your download may have been corrupted). In any case, Hephappy's ICS PLUS is the basic CyanogenMod 9.2.2, so it doesn't come with any custom tweaks other than what CyanogenMod includes. If you want a tweaked ROM, neko95's ICySNAP 2.0 GoldenEye has been released, based on Hephappy's ICS PLUS, but with tweaks and the LG3UI look and feel. He's also Pinoy, in case that's a consideration. Try one of those ROMs.

Regarding flashing a ROM, just to recap, I recommend wiping the following before you flash the ROM: data, cache, dalvik-cache, system.
