i don't think there's any advantage to having a rooted device unless you are a nerd...

for an average phone user, it will only give you headaches kung maka install sad kag control freak nga apps... hahaha...

    like android isn't complicated enough...

so i think there are 5 most common reasons you get your phone rooted..

    1. increase performance - My note 2 doesn't need to be increased...

    2. Protect my device - To locate my phone is enough, every phone is susceptible to theft in any levels may it be rooted or not.

    3. remove un used apps - with 64gb internal and an 32gb external, i guess it doesn't matter.

    4. make back ups - all i need is a back up for my contacts and little bit of dropbox i am well fine.

    5. configure restricted settings - android already has a very complicated settings, i do not wish to have more... hahaha...

    btaw that's my reasons...

if there's more reasons you think i should consider, tell me and i will see... but for now, i make calls -> send text messages -> and play games just fine without rooting my device.

Mao na cyay g.ingon nga mg.agad ras device. Advantage lng is that you have access sa recovery mode. Murag bios kung sa pc pa. Where you can install roms and stufs and most important ang nandroid backup, kai basig ma.softbrick na or hilabtan na ma.usab ang settings, you can always access the recovery mode and restore your settings.

Anyway, mao na cyay giingon na if making calls and text and playing games lng. ayaw nlng na i.root. Simple. And the thread is "is it safe to root your android device?".

some experts saying na if rooted ang devices kay prone to virus, pero mag depende ra jud na sa user if pataka lang pud adto ug site, or download/receive items from bluetooth/web

more or less nindot siya kay maka speed up sa system ug full control sa apps

I would say it is safe to root a phone although this can void your warranty. Nexus devices are the easiest to root and load custom ROMs.

You may check a tutorial I posted:
