August 9, 2011 - Philippine Stock Market Update
The PSEi fell for the third consecutive session, losing as much as 4.66% or 201.4 points as investors remained nervous after the US credit rating downgrade. The PSEi closed at 4,157.03, down 4.02% or 174.21 points. This mirrored the Dow’s 5.55% plunge overnight and weakness in markets across the Asia‐Pacific region. Market breadth was overwhelmingly negative as losers outnumbered gainers by a 12 to 1 margin with 14 counters holding steady. Value turnover reached P8.4b with foreign investors being net sellers for the fourth consecutive session. TEL was heavily sold down along with property counters MEG, FLI and RLC. At the Philippine DealingSystem, the peso weakened to average P42.709/US$ as of mid‐day versus yesterday’s close of P42.50.

Bro Redhorse, i don't care if P6 is red tomorrow as long as it will not legitimately/technically break the support zone that i set in my trading plan i will not get-out. I rely on technicals now coz the fundamentals are very messy overturned with fear and panic. Hopefully, the support zone can hold all the bears. It is in confluence now with the 200 EMA so we expect a price reaction tomorrow. But if the last line of defense also break then it's time to stop the bleeding in order to survive. Afterall, don't think of stock market crash as circumstances, think of it as an opportunity to attain your financial freedom once the dust settled. So we welcome it like a father waiting his prodigal son. I'm also waiting for this opportunity, i never thought this will come early only 3 years after the last crash on 2008 started by Lehman Brothers base on history it comes every 5 to 7 years average.Quote:
